help for a 25k~ish mini itx gaming build

Para gaming man cge nako gamit sa ako pc.. then mag coding pod ko usahay ug mga physics simulations pod.. dili man ingon ana ka intensive ako mga needs karon.. pero need lang pod ko ug some flexibility sa ako system in case naa ko buhaton puhon nga intensive dapat makaya ra sa ako pc..

tinuod na sa pagka karon, gamay ra cpu performance difference between Haswell and ivy system.para nako haswell was not made as an "upgrade" but new systems, but if mu himo man lang ka bag-o na system, i would definitely choose a newer architecture since ang price difference between both system is gamay raman kaayo. no reason to buy a new system based on old archi unless u have specific needs na d makita sa new archi and or u got a bargain price.

if ako pa buton, and i have the cash i will go for haswell's i5. but if nihit budget, mangukay ko ug pentium series or i3 and other parts sa BnS and pair it with good videocard for gaming. IMHO

ah i see... then, an i3-3220 will just suite you fine (dako ka'g ma save)... birada lang ka'g GPU para maka duwa ka'g GPU hog games like Crysis 3 and the upcoming BF4 and others...

unsa'y makaya sa Haswell, makaya pud sa SB and IB CPUs... hinay lang gamay ang previous gen compared sa latest one but dili pud in ana ka dako ang difference nila like the core 1st gen vs the 2nd gen... dako2x gyud ang performance leap sa 2nd gen from the 1st... but, patay (no more new CPU) na ang LGA 1155... the fastest CPU that we can get is only up to the i7-3770K...

the 'ivy vs. haswell' debate is very much similar sa 'stick with sandy vs. go ivy' some time ago. pero nag hinay hinay ra gihapon ang uban ug shift to ivy bridge. arang arang gani to kay same socket ra. hehehe. para nako gyud, i'd rather have newer tech in a new build. one route ra ang upgrade path. IMO lang.

^haha.. libog napod hinuon kos mga nag contradict da.. hehe.. maka settle rman pod ko sa IB karon instead sa Haswell kay kasagaran nako mabasahan dili man ingon ana ang difference nila sa IB.. ako nlng ron kay ang i5 ba or i3.. hehe..

i3 to i5 is a worthy upgrade. Theres no reason not to if you can afford it.

Regarding sa bottleneck, naa na sya sa tanang systems. Dili na sya malikayan. An ideal rig is one where there is no bottleneck, but that is virtually impossible. In a gaming rig, the closest you can get to ideal is when the video card is the bottleneck. It should be always that way where your frames are limited by the video card. If your processor causes significant losses to the potentail frames a VC can deliver, that is IMO unacceptable and a disrespect to the VC. So much for calling it a gaming rig.

In the case of an i3, it COULD be a slight bottleneck when paired with a 7950 though it could be minimal. Nonetheless, my recommendation stands, THERE'S NO REASON NOT TO GO QUAD CORE IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT.

One more thing, if your video card is lower than a 7850/650ti boost, dont bother.

8,400 sa website sa pcx. wala ko kibaw sa prices sa uban. okay raman cguro. reason being we spend about 90% of the time on our 'gaming rig' browsing the internet. lol

yeah, for me. sulit ra man mu dritso, kay at least ka usa ra, kay sa mag upgrade ra gihapon ka puhon.. doble gastos. dritso nalang 4570.. or maybe even 4670k nalang jud. IMO ra ha so you might want to take other votes on that. congrats in advance!

layo na cguro nang 4670k para nako boss.. hehe.. murag i5 4430 nlng cguro ko for the quad core.. pero lage.. 600php raman pod iya difference sa price sa 4570.. i wonder if sulit ba ang 600 for the performance differences..
