homosexuality per se, is not a disease, nor is it even classified as a psychological disorder.
you cannot find it listed in the DSM-IV-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) (wikipedia entry)
“What we call chaos is just patterns we haven't recognized. What we call random is just patterns we cant decipher. What we can't understand we call nonsense. What we can't read we call gibberish.” - Chuck Palahniuk
it is true that it is genetic but it can also be psychological
The statement above is interesting because it seems to contradict the recent findings in epigenetics nga nag-ingon nga ang sexual preference nagsugod dihang embryo pa ang bata (dili sa 'infantile-toddler stage'). Any scientific journal or credible science literature to support the statement I quoted above?
For me, these things are factors that can/will cause homosexuality:
1) Upbringing (sometimes one can grow up in an environment where there are no men. e.g. Single Mom with 3 girls + 1 boy).
2) Peers (makabayot ang sige kuyog sa bayot)
3) Genetics (some men have a tendency to be gay later in life)
4) Diet (believe it or not some foods that have estrogen CAN make you gay)
5) Drugs (deliberate intake of estrogen)![]()
If this is statement is true, then it should be true in all cases. Pero daghan mang pamilya nga usa ra'y anak laki, daghan babaye. Unya kanang anak nga lalaki straight man, dili man bayot.
Walay straight nga lalaki nga ganahan magsige'g kuyog2x og bayot. Bisan kanang word nga 'bayot' mismo, dili ganahan ang mga straight guy nga i-associate ana.
You can try this experiment yourself (if you are a guy): Pangita og usa ka straight guy unya ingna siya 'Bayot ka bay?'. Tan-awa unsa ang iyang reaction. Caution: Ladies, don't try this experiment alone.
This is a myth.
bro, i said SOMETIMES i never said it is a GUARANTEED cause.
That's why it is stated "SOMETIMES" and not "ALWAYS". If you say "daghan" naa pud "uban". I know 2 gay people who grew up in a majority female environment.
Obvious misconception on your part and you're probably basing that on your current level of maturity.
Bro, when I was first year high school I didn't know what "gay" was. I made friends with a lot of people and, as you would have it, people who I didn't know were gay. Those who did stick around eventually became gay as well.
So your argument above is a fallacy.
Bro, current gays take more of this to develop feminine characteristics. So again, your claim dili mabayot if magoverdose ka ana is again, false.
Well, that is your opinion. But since this thread is intended to be an objective, scientific discussion, allow me to cite a scientific literature.
Klaro kaayo nga ang epekto anang mga 's3x hormones' sa gender ug sexual orientation didto lamang naka-confine sa mga bata nga wala pa matawo (prenatal).Factors influencing s3x differences in the brain are genetic factors like mutations or polymorphism in the s3x hormone receptors, abnormal prenatal hormone levels and compounds and environmental endocrine disruptes. When given during the pregnancy, they interact with the action of s3x hormones on the fetal brain. An influence of postnatal factors on gender or sexual orientation has not been established.
