I guess most of you will be wondering "where were they during the Mendoza hostage crisis".

Not their fault, the PNP thought "it was too soon" to call for their services.

I guess a dozen bullets in the head of one of the hostages counted as "too soon" for our incompetent hostage handlers.

for the Philippine Army we have the Scout Rangers(SR) and the Light Recon Comapany (LRC)..PNP, we have the Special Action Force (SAF)..Philippine Navy > we have the SEALs or the NAVSOG (Naval Special Operations Group)..Philippine Coast Guard, we have the Special Operations Group (SOG)..Ubay-ubay jud to count on..

most Philippine military special units was organized due to the success of the Philippine Army's Scout Rangers from the First Scout Ranger Regiment (FSRR) during the 80's particularly in mindanao and northern luzon..Scout Rangers are always in LOW profile that most people think they don't exist..Though there are some points where in they had unit lapses, i say they are still ONE of the BEST..PNP SAF on the other hand has a good tactical training background..SAFs were trained by the famous ISRAELI commandos..
