Kainos Health Management Inc, is having problems in terms of the use of their Access Cards. Upon admission to hospitals, requests for laboratory work-ups or consultations with your specialists, you will be advised that Kainos' credit line had been suspended. Thus the new process is for Kainos to do cash pre-payment for the service you are getting.
You can still avail of the services outlined in our Healthcare plan without charge but you must be keen on following these procedures. By not doing so, you may encounter difficulties or have to pay for the service by cash and be reimbursed later:
1. Always call the hotline 255-6298 before going to your Specialist, ER, laboratory (with pink slip or LOA), when being admitted (with carried order or yellow slip). Remember that ER does not accept simple consultations anymore, you are instead referred to the 24/7 Kainos Clinics in Mactan and Lapu-Lapu City.
2. Inform the Customer Service Representative what service you are getting and which clinic so they can arrange payments prior or during your consultation. In case one is rushed to ER, please ask the hospital nurses to call Kainos through the hotline.
3. Their representative assigned in the hospital concierge will go to your service provider and pay in cash. You must call 255-6298 for any follow-ups. Always inform the secretary that Kainos will pre-pay the service.
Once again the new procedure is to Call the hotline for them to pay in cash for the services you are availing/have availed. It is unusually different from how other insurance providers work wherein the mere showing of access card handles everything.
