Wala pay tf, hinanglan pa jud mugasto ang banda para audition..on top of the expenses they incur in practice, going to the audition and going home, etc...?
Anyway, i hope na dili ni mahimu na standard. And please don't dare use the phrase "support local music", or "suportaay lang ta bai." it is a fact that a lot of bands would love to play in big events...if we really want to "support" them, it's not nice to exploit that fact. Food and drinks and complimentary tickets for the bands are sop's in events, and should not be used as leverage by the organizers. Selling of band merchs onsite is also a given, and again, should not be used as leverage.
And by the way...dili man sad siguro na "demanding" ang jr kilat. Standard man na sa mga big events na if mubaligya ug tickets, then naay tf ang banda, kay ang banda man ang magdala sa mga tawo. The tf is negotiable, so the organizers should not take it against the band if they ask how much ang tf. If walay tf, then it is the organizers' burden to convince the band to play for free.
Mao gani mupalit ang tawo sa tickets kay naa ang udub, kilat, sati, udd, radioactive sago, and so on and so forth.
Like what is happening now sa slapshock event tonight. Gi badmouth sila karon kay nibackout kuno at the last minute, nya walay klaro na reason...but i heard na gusto sa slapshock na libre ang event (no ticket sales), but dili musugot ang organizer, mao wala sila nisugot. Of course this is an unconfirmed piece of info, but right now, is as good as any info na available regarding the incident. And they might not be playing sa vmf kay nakabook na man sila sa catbalogan na muziklaban months ago pa.
And yes, it's not easy to organize an event. But nobody is forcing anybody to organize anything. So it's not really valid if somebody just replies "kamo kuno organize bi." it's nice that somebody is doing it, but as the saying goes..."anything worth doing, is worth doing well."
again, this just my opinion that others may subscribe to or reject...now you may dissect this point by point and please explain to me what i fail to see.
