yeah we both agree sa last portion but i still don't agree sa imo terms sa 2nd cousins and 2nd degree as both the same.... yeah i did read the 1st web page you gave, and even the "Find" feature on my firefox cannot find the word "degree" there....

Gi search man pud nako ang difference as 2nd degree og 2nd cousin. Ang ming gawas parehas raman pud og meaning... Technical glith or maybe meaning giud ceguro na nya? Probably they have the same meaning, no mention lang about sa word degree. Second degree cousin is the legal term of second cousin. Either way, stev08 (who made the forum) said their second degree cousins man pud.

at TS: if you both have the same great grandparent then you guys are 2nd cousins (not 2nd degree cousins).... kay if mu ingon ka 2nd degree mo, then by law di mo pwede... but if 2nd cousins mo (if i counted correctly 6th degree namo, then pwede mo by law)...

2nd cousins are in the 6th civil degree. As I recall, Second degree cousins are still in the 6th civil degree.
