I don't agree that Ronaldo's a cheat. Diving? Even players more popular than him did dive at some point or another. Even Sepp Blatter admitted to diving during his early years.

well it may be some form of cheating... it just totally annoys me watchin the game while its free flowing and a lot of things have been done about this to make the game more faster mind you guys... to see the ref blow that whistle for a phantom foul is just utterly askin for trouble from critics of ronaldo... he's the topic as of the moment eh, players do dive true, but in his case its just not right for him to do that all the time...
one of these days every ref might NOT want call the foul... like the story the boy who cried wolf...
we know he's young in due time he would surely mature... i like his style of play especially his skills and the flair he does them... but not those childlike, cry baby antics... then again in due time... an exciting player to watch out for!!!
the english league is known to be very physical and they seldom blow the whistle. They are in better position in identifying the cheaters.
here's a nice article:
But he believes that something is being lost as a result of the takeover of top clubs by non-British owners.
"This trend (of foreign ownership) does worry me. Generally you want the clubs to be in control of their own destiny. If you suddenly have 20 foreign investors who buy 20 English clubs you are in danger," Wenger told Arsenal's magazine.
"The manager is foreign, the players are foreign, you need to draw a line. England doesn't control it any more.
"I feel the soul of football in this country is first granted by the owners of the clubs. Here, for example, at Arsenal I feel I am really at an English club.
"Traditionally the people who owned the clubs were first and foremost supporters. If that ceases to be the case then the clubs lose something."
.. Arsene is right. The first who made impact was by Roman buying out Chelsea and now many foreign moguls are eating it's way into EPL. Well, it's quite expected since most EPL clubs are " poor " compared to other Euro leagues like La Liga and Seria A.
Man Utd won at home 2-0 against Newcastle and now back on top of the Premier League.
.. the table looks so unfamiliar:
Manchester United 7 16
Chelsea 7 16
Bolton Wanderers 7 14
Portsmouth 7 13
Everton 7 13
.. bolton, portsmouth and everton...... i was expecting Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsenal.
There was a time when Arsenal was criticized for fielding all-foreign players. And it made the FA rethink, especially their plan of developing the local football.
Now the foreigners want to own english clubs. Perhaps they can manage it better.
They still do, I believe they only have 2 English players in the first team and they're subs!Originally Posted by Von!-x

He's maturing quite well. Even the Newcastle's boss was so impressed with him. But he was kinda unlucky that he hit the post 3 times in that match.Originally Posted by gun-ob
