Hey Omad, i heard Mark Cubans is issuing 1,400 free tickets for the series finale. Good for you guys...1,400: Dallas and Fort Worth population ...it's for game 7.. getting a free ticket thru a lottery is like winning the sweepstakes (1,400 tickets for 6 million people). there are available tickets on sale now for games 6 and 7 but they're 6 to 10 times the original price.

FYI: the free tickets are at the "nosebleed section" mahikap na nimo ang atop sa AAC. dili nako mousab ug palit basta dd2 sa nosebleed section kay usik usik ra ta sa kwarta (mahal pa jud ang parking), dili na jud maklaro ang nos. sa players. maayo pa ang tan-aw sa sportbars kay nindot pa ug waitresses (hooters, buffalo wild wings, dave and busters etc..). unya all-out pa ang mga fans sayaw sayaw sa ibabaw sa lamisa sometimes topless pareha pag game 2 pag daug sa Mavs.. don't get me wrong, mas nindot jud kung naa ka sa action (upper/lower bowl) pero kung layo na gani kaayo mahulog ra kag tan-aw sa jumbotron gihapon, dili na maklaro ang duwa, maayo pa tan-aw ta sa balay.

I'd rather have a few friends bring beers and watch it on the couch. Mahal ra kaayo ang beer sa bars although nindot ang atmosphere. Pero the fact that you can get drunk in your own home and not worry about driving, mas okay pa sa balay nalang. Plus, I just bought a nice flatscreen LCD.

"bringing beer and watching on the couch"... we've been doing that all year long.. it's not really that expensive when you pay $15 each with 4 rounds of beer, wings, fries for about a dozen of us. it's also good to watch the game away from the comforts of home, moreover, there's only 5 games left in this series IF the Heat makes it exciting.

Mavs management is actually opening the AAC for a "beat the Heat" watch party for $5 per ticket and it's on a first come first serve basis. we still have about 7 hours to decide if we're going to the AAC to be at the watch party or at some sports bars tonight.

    4 rounds of beer - ... 1 beer per quarter Naaaah... I guess it's cheaper in Dallas hinoon.. diri, it's 4/beer + 1 tip .. that's 20 for 4. That's a 12 pack of Corona + a pack of cigarettes.

OT: we could've ordered whatever we wanted to consume but also remember that our main priority is not getting a DWI citation which costs about $200-$300 plus a black-eye on your record resulting to almost double your insurance premium. we just wanted clean fun and be there where the fans are, aside from the game venue itself. we're a bunch of responsible and law-abiding citizens... SOMETIMES.. - after paying all those fines - hehehehe..

getting drunk? we're always drunk on weekends anyway playing Texas Hold 'em from Friday evening 'til Saturday morning not including the weekend parties in the Filipino community. besides, we all know that beer is very affordable here (like the example u cited) if we figure in our income. there's always a time for everything though.. and we're not risking DWI for anything..

Don't you have DD's (designated driver) when you go out? I mean, it's a sacrifice and you might feel left out but it's also a very smart thing to do. When we go out drinking with my buddies, we always have a DD when we're driving (and we take turns doing it). -- Anyhow, I don't go out much anymore, I'm lucky if I'd get to go out drinking once/week ... and I got sooo many bills to pay.

That's why I find it that it's more practical for me to watch the games at home or someone else's. We can drink our fill, get sobered up .. and walk or drive home. It's cheaper... and safer... di pa ma bitin sa inom. Especially on Sunday Football where games starts from early in the Afternoon til 10-11PM.

Pero like you said, nindot ang atmospehere sa mga bars.. nindot ug panahon sa Superbowl or NBA finals. Mahal lang. The times that I go to Sports Bars kay kanang Pay-per-view boxing.
