Kabanata 24: Ang Paghihiwalay ni Memen at Ornia

Raquim reveals to Mine’a that he is in fact a prince of Sapiro. He asks her to give up her weapon for encantadas like her are not permitted to bring weapons with them. Mine’a doesn’t want to give the Kabilan. Raquim tells her that she will just get into trouble if she doesn’t give him her sword. He then moves forward to get the Kabilan but Mine’a fights him.

Avria tells Barkus that the issue about Memen and Ornia is putting her on shame. Barkus says that they can save her from shame if they organize a big occasion because if that happens, the Etherians will stop talking about it and will instead talk about the new occasion. Avria wonders about what occasion might fit in. Barkus suggests that they should have Mine’a wed to someone since she is already in the right age.

Raquim beats Mine’a in the fight and takes off the cloth covering Mine-a’s face. He recognizes “Ssheda�. He moves forward to kiss her but Mine’a was able to use one of her powers to fend him off. She then stands up and runs away.

Avria thinks about what Barkus said. She agrees if it is the only way to save her from deep shame. She thinks about who might be worthy to take Mine’a as his wife. Barkus tells Avria that he has someone to refer.

In the forest, Gurna meets Mine’a. Mine’a asks her why she followed her. Gurna syas that she is there to make sure that she’s alright. Mine’a tells Gurna that she is safe as long as she has the Kabilan. Gurna took cognizance of Mine-a’s smile. She tells Mine’a that she seems happy. Mine’a says that it is because she saw Raquim again, and tells her of her plan to continue disguising as an ordinary encantada so she will be able to discover about Raquim’s true intentions to her.

Raquim meets Hagorn in the Spring of Truth and tells him that he saw again the encantada that he likes. Hagorn tells Raquim that they have such a big problem and yet he is still thinking of that encantada. Raquim says that he can’t just help but think of her. They then proceed to asking the spring if the Etherians already know about their secret. The spring shows Andora being able to see the past of one of the Etherian soldiers.

Evades uses his powers to defend them against the Etherians. Ornia tells Memen to use his power to orb but he cannot because he is severely wounded. Ornia tells him that she will not leave him and uses her powerful voice to fight the Etherians but Victu was able to slash her in the arm. He points his sword to Memen and tells Evades that if he uses his powers against them, he will kill Memen. Evades tells Ornia that he can’t do anything more, if they don’t leave the others and maybe even their child would get hurt. Evades then pulls Ornia away and uses his powers to fend off the Etherians. A Sapiryan guard saw them.

The Sapiryan guard tells Asval that the Etherians are attacking Memen and Ornia in Adjantao. Asval tells him that they will go to Adjantao to see if they can do anything.
Pirena stands up from where she is lying. Danaya notices that Pirena is still awake. She approaches her and asks her if she is waiting for Mine’a to come. Pirena tells Danaya that she is waiting for Amihan and Alena.

One of the soldiers drags Amihan and Alena into the prison cell. Amihan tells them that they have no intention to hurt any one of them and Alena tells them to set them free but the Etherians did not listen to them.

Cassiopea is carried by Evades while they are running away from the Etherians. Ornia falls on the ground. She tells Evades that she can’t go on anymore. She speaks to Cassiopea, telling the child to forgive her for leaving her. She tells Evades to take care of Cassiopea very well because she needs to live and to leave her now so they can run away from danger. Evades promises to take care of Cassiopea and leaves a crying Ornia.

In Hera Sensa, Barkus meets Arvak. Barkus tells Arvak that Queen Avria has already agreed to what he said. Mine’a will be wed to Hagorn. He gives something to Barkus.

An Etherian was about to kill Ornia when Asval and his companion came. They were able to kill all of them. Asval orders the soldier to get rid of the dead soldiers and make sure that no one’s going to see them. Ornia wakes up. Asval tells Ornia not to fear because he will help her. He will take her to Sapiro so she can hide in there. Asval aided Ornia.

Danaya tells Pirena that she wishes that Mine’a would come again. Pirena says that she wishes that too. Meanwhile, a diwata comes in telling the others that two kids were caught by the Etherian soldiers. Danaya asks the diwata if she knows the names of the kids she is referring to but the diwata doesn’t know. Pirena tells Danaya that she is sure that the kids the diwata is referring to are Amihan and Alena.

Pirena and Danaya tell the soldiers that they were told to give food to the diwatas caught prisoners. They saw Amihan and Alena in one corner and the four sisters hug. Amihan is happy to be united with them but Pirena says that she is not happy that they were imprisoned. Alena tells them to set them free but Danaya says that they can’t and only their mother could help them.

Amihan: “Ang ating ina?� (“Our mother?�)

The soldiers bring Memen to Avria. Victu tells the queen that Ornia and their child were able to escape with the help of Evades, but he has already told some of his soldiers to search for them. A soldier hands the Kabilan to Avria. Avria tells Victu not to stop serching for them. Memen tells Avria not to hurt them.

Avria: “Humanda ka na sa kamatayan mo!� (“Get ready for your death!�)

Avria holds up the Kabilan and was ready to kill Memen when Mine’a enters. She pleads to Avria not to hurt him.

Amihan asks Danaya if they have already found Ynang Reyna. Danaya tells Amihan that Mine’a is the daughter of the Queen of Etheria. Amihan asks Alena if it is true. Alena tells them that their mother is indeed the daughter of Etheria’s Queen, as written in the writings of Raquim and the other historians of Encantadia. Pirena asks Alena about why she did not tell them about this. Alena says that it is because Ynang Reyna is already in Devas, and she doesn’t want to ruin her name. Amihan says that therefore, their blood is part Etherian. Danaya tells Amihan not to get upset for Ynang Reyna is different from all other Etherians. She then tells Pirena that they need to find Ynang Reyna because she is the only one who can help them.

Mine’a continues to plead to Avria not to hurt Memen but Avria tells her that this is the only punishment for him.

Mine’a: “Kahit papano ama ko pa rin siya kahit nagkasala siya…� (“In a way he is still my father even though he commited a sin…�)

Avria says that she will forgive him in one condition, that he denies Ornia and their child. Mine’a tells Memen to do it so he can save his life.
