[color=navy]@zerk, S.I.C I believe refers to HoundedbyHeaven's comic crew Slick Ink Comics. I believe it's been discussed previously in the other thread.

@HoundedByHeaven and raging_hero, you need original stories? I need original artists hehe. Mind if send some story ideas your way? Though I would prefer if I know your genre preferences first. I got loads and loads of ideas~ Weebong can confirm that.

"Slick Ink Comics" is actually the logo of all the comic-book titles of the "Sugbu League of Comic-book Kickasses!" (SLICK!), which is the name of the crew. Yeah, I know, the influence on our group's name, among others, is that obvious (hehehe).

Anyway, ryan, here's the link to SLICK!'s inactive blog, "The Ink Slick".

As for Sterling Publications's announcement to publish stories of other writers besides film director Carlo J. Caparas, it seems that the post reporting such an announcement at http://www.komiks.ph is no longer accessible because all posts for September, 2007 are missing (wonder why?). Anyhow, Antonio Garrovillo, one of the website's webmaster, did state in a post in the "Komiks Convention by CJC" thread of the "Komiks!" section of the "The Philippine Komiks Message Board" that the publisher really announced such. I supposed Garrovillo merely reported that the meeting between the publisher and some local independent comic-book creators, which professional comic-book inker Gerry Alanguilan announced in the September 23, 2007 post at the "Komikero Comics Journal" section of his "Komikero" website, was a success.

Hey, thanks, dude, that's generous of you. Sure, send some to slickinkcomics@gmail.com. Except for sci-fi, I'm cool with any genre for a story, so long as it's...hmmm...let's see...acceptable to the good ol' U.S. Comics Code Authority (hehehe). Who knows? I may be finally publishing my S.I.C. title in the future...digitally.

    Thanks.

    Peace.

No, I think Sterling Publications (S.P.) is already accepting submissions, if we go with Garrovillo's statement that the meeting was a success.

    nweiz i'll check out s.i.c
    Why, thank you.

Technically, it ain't my site 'coz I didn't pay for its domain name or its hosting, among others, hehehe. It's a free blog from Blogspot. Many professional and independent comics creators have individual blogs where they each usually post a strip or a page of their own original comics. Study closely these kinds of blogs so that you can begin and run your own, where you can show the whole online, comics-reading world what you got.

If you're generous enough, you can also scan your own original printed comics, archive the image files in either ZIP or RAR, renamed the compressed files to "*.cbz" (if in ZIP format) or "*.cbr" (if in RAR format) so that these could be open by the free sequential image viewing utility CDisplay, upload them to free file-sharing services (like Rapidshare, Megaupload, etc.) and then share the links to such files to everyone you know so that they can download and read these for free. Of course, you have to first study closely the free CDisplay utility (especially the image file formats it can view only) and those free file-sharing services.

That's a lot of study right there, hehehe.

    Thank you.

    Peace.

P.S. Why don't you print the issues of your comic-book title in risograph in SuKol Mo!'s format and sell these this time?
