Kapuy tuud research but mau ra pud intawn nai naka-pamugasay nako sa akung wii. hehehe. Anyways, gi-partition nako ako HDD into two halves... one for FAT32 and one for WBFS. WBFS manager 3.0 ako gigamit diay to format the other half.
Anyways, kung sa partition WBFS nimu isave, i really think makasave ka'g HDD space coz dili man niya i-apil ang whole DVD dump. By compressed you mean cISO files? hmmm... my experience with cISO files wasn't that good in terms of compatibility. I would prefer ISO files na 'scrubbed/trimmed' para dili pud kaayu kas ug HDD space.

currently highly recommended naman kaayo ang fat32 ra in one partition. Wala ka problems sa call of duty? ngano mo-itum man siya or mo-freeze? I use modmii diay. I only did it once. One of these days, I'll go back experimenting. Although sige mi ug gamit ug dvd for the past 3 years. Lingaw gyud sa mga parties ang Just Dance 2, NSMBWII, Mario Kart Wii, etc. Unsa imo loader?
Really? who's 'highly recommending' it to you? For me, one drastic disadvantage of havin a fat32 HDD is that it's not capable of storing single files whose space is 4gb or more (im talkin bout ISO files worth 4.4gb and double layer ISO files worth 7gb+). in terms of USB loading, WBFS partition lang jud ko so if my fat32 f*cks up, dili ra madamai akung wii games (since WBFS format is not recognized by windows unless u have programs like WBFS manager). I also think the latest USB or BackUp loaders these days support NTSF.
About Call of Duty, do you mean black ops? or Modern Warfare Reflex? Black Ops require you to upgrade your cIOS249 to rev19 and only specific loaders (i can only name a few) are capable of playing the said game like Neogamma, Uloader and WiiFlow.
You seem like an avid wii gamer. duwa nya to pohon while magtagai kai di ko kabuhat ana sa akung pag-umangkun (since siya ra akung kaduwa sa wii). hahaha
@ninodominicaniban ----- bro good day...My wii is both hard modded and soft modded..Hard mod ni daan when I bought it 2 years ago..I just downloaded my games and burned it to the DVD..So far ok nman pero their are some games nga dili nya basahon... When it broke I sent it to Itech to be fixed and ako nlang pud gi pa soft mod..naa sila free games, around 100plus (usb loader gx).. Bro ask lang ko about softmod, unsaon nato pag butang ug games? Like I'm used in downloading ang burning it to my DVD for the hard mod..pero wala kaayo idea sa soft mod..I've heard you need to have the WBFS..Unsa nga games ang ako i-download? is it the same as the one that I used to burn in DVD or lahi pud ni sya ug format? Sa site nga ako downloadanan, naa sya categories didto sa games nga WII(this is the category where I download the games for DVD burning) and WII VC..Sa Wii Vc ang mga file didto gagmay lang kaayo like around 20MB or 50MB..mao ba ni mga games used for soft mods?
Any help would greatly be appreciated![]()
Pareho ta. For three years in-ana pud ko. I have 2 backups for each game. Pero more of a hacker than a gamer lang ko. Natapul na lang ko ron. By the way, if you search "FAT32 vs. WBFS" through google for the last 3 months, FAT32 is recommended. It works on emulated nand, space is optimized, easily accessible sa PC, etc. WBFS is the first but not most recommended anymore. NTFS is still beta. Convert to CISO to compress it with no concern if it's an 8 gb game. I respect ninodominicaniban for "doing it" while ako, theory only. After 3 years, natapul na ko. I tried only one time last month pero pag-wala ni work ug tarong, I stopped immediately. Correct si ninodominicaniban. Wala tingali ma-updated kay new pa ang Black Ops that time. I recommend Modmii, for me it's the safest and the easiest. It's better than Pimpmywii. Sa Loader, libog kay daghan recommended and popular.
Hmmm...Bro, first of all, i'd like to make clarifications about the term 'hardmod' and 'softmod', coz we owe these terms from those 'modders' (mostly hispanic) who spent countless number of hours trying to make underground innovations for the Wii:
Hardmod - allows you to play DVD-burnt Wii games by installing a modchip inside your wii.
Softmod - allows you to play DVD-burnt Wii games by installing apps that updates and customizes your IOS (wii system files) without hardware modification (though you need to have an SD Card to do Softmodding)
This time, I will try to answer your questions one by one:
"So far ok nman pero their are some games nga dili nya basahon"
-There are a number of reasons why you can't play certain game titles.
***it could be that your IOS (wii system files) have not been customized or updated. Ever heard of IOS249 rev19? cIOS 222 v5? If you have the time, find a reliable guide of how you can install these updates (usually in .wad files)
***it could be that the ISO/cISO file that you have downloaded was badly ripped by the uploader. If you can, find another source for that file and try downloading it again.
***the region of the game is not congruent with your wii region. I had de Blob NTSC-U that gives me a blackscreen. So i downloaded de Blob pal and i haven't got problems with it.
***some backup/usb loaders allows you to configure what IOS would you like your game to run with; 249, 250, 222, 223, etc. some games require like Monster Hunter Tri and double layered games like Super Smash Bros for them to run.
-By taking note of these pointers, I have all my Wii games running smoothly on my console.
"Bro ask lang ko about softmod, unsaon nato pag butang ug games? Like I'm used in downloading ang burning it to my DVD for the hard mod..pero wala kaayo idea sa soft mod..I've heard you need to have the WBFS.."
-WBFS is synonymous to FAT32 or NTFS except that it's the Wii's exclusive file system. Let me ask you, does your HDD have a separate partition for Wii games that's unreadable via windows? coz if you do, then you already have a WBFS partition. If that's the case, what you need is a software in windows that can recognize and can manage your WBFS: I'm currently using WBFS Manager 3.0 - where you can add/delete or even extract a game and convert it to ISO. Kaw nalang nyay pangitaa ana bro, daghan sites para download ana. hehehe
"Unsa nga games ang ako i-download? is it the same as the one that I used to burn in DVD or lahi pud ni sya ug format?"
-Yeah, same as DVD format (ISO). if you have a WBFS manager, add an ISO file to your list of games and it will be automatically converted into WBFS.
"Sa Wii Vc ang mga file didto gagmay lang kaayo like around 20MB or 50MB..mao ba ni mga games used for soft mods?"
-VC means Virtual Console. These are games from early generation consoles that has been recoded for them to be playable on your Wii console. VCs are not roms for emulators... you can directly install (usually as .wad files) and play them as one of the channels sa imung wii menu, no emulator needed. Usually ang VCs kai gikan sa SNES, NES and N64. Again, you would need certain system files (IOS) to be customized and updated for you to play them. To answer your question, NO. VCs are not your typical Wii games. hehehe.
Hope nakatabang ra ko. PM lang nya kung naa pa kai pangutana. Basa lang gyud ug mga guides bro, nai mga reliable kaayu na mga guides about wii modding ngara. hehehe
