O diara raman diay na, so why with your reasoning you always associated or interpreted it to eternal life.
ON Ephesians 2:8, asa man naluwas ang mga tawo ato?
You can't achieve eternal life if your not eternal.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
    1 Corinthians 15:50-54.

    Peace!

    What?
ON Ephesians 2:8, asa man naluwas ang mga tawo ato?

We have to labor to good to us to achieve Eternal Life.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

    Galatians 6:8.

WITHOUT HIM NO ONE CAN BE

    JUSTIFIED

    SANCTIFIED

    GLORIFIED

    BORN AGAIN

    RECONCILED

Sakto man bro, pero you should know the time frame.
Eternal life will be enjoyed if we have immortal body.

    Peace!

everlasting life here is used in a sense of the 'abundant life' taught by Christ in Joh 10:10

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

the Eternal life IN CHRISTIANS when lived out produces the abundant life. When one walks in the Spirit, the Spirit produces in him the vitues of eternall life, the virtues of Christ Himself. He bears righteousness and holiness as fruit of that eternal life lived out by walking in the Spirit.

living in sin is practically living in death, while living out the eternal life already in the Christian through the Sprit is truly an abundant life indeed with eternal value and character in it.

Let me quote William McDonald, we have pretty much the saem thing to say::

Ga 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Those who do the former reap a harvest of disappointment and loss right here on earth because they learn as they grow older that the flesh they lived to please is decaying and dying. Then in the age to come they lose eternal rewards. Those who sow to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. There are two ways in which eternal life (same word translated everlasting) is used in the Bible: (1) It is the present possession of every believer (John 3:36). (2) It is that which the believer receives at the end of his life here on earth (Rom. 6:22). Those who sow to the Spirit enjoy eternal life here and now in a way which other Christians do not. Then, too, they will reap the rewards which accompany faithfulness when they reach their heavenly home.

Thus eternal life and everlasting life are different?

So everlasting and eternal life has a slight difference.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
In this verse that you've qouted, in what way or what abundant does Christ mean?

Sorry to say, your answer about everlasting and eternal life is not biblical.
Eternal means no beginning no end.
Everlasting life has a point of beginning and no ending.

Diba maayo kaayo ka sa greek, tan-awa kuno palihug kung unsa nga word ang gigamit kung eternal and everlasting ang gigamit.

At the same time, from that point on, he has an endless life, he has everlasting life.
How come if he/she has a flesh then have endless life?

    Peace!

i was not referring to the Greek concerning that. I was making a difference between eternal life and everlasting life. Eternal has no beginning and no ending. Everlasting on the other hand has a point of beginning.

In some translations, the word ainios is translated eternal and everlasting when actually the word i believe should be translated as eternal not everlasting. However, it is acceptable though, since all Christians at some point in their lives recieved eternal life. But aionios i believe should be translated as eternal.

How come if he/she has a flesh then have endless life?

Because Christ is his or her life.

Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Christian's life. He is my Savior, my Lord and my LIfe.

You see my friend, you rely on your own " word i believe should be translated as eternal not everlasting." no wonder many religion exist today and different understanding because of people like you who believed in their own and ignore the true meaning in the bible.

Just go ahead with that reasoning and hope you will find peace, i've said enough.

I just remember the words from the bible:

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
    Matthew 7:6.

    Peace!

Yes, i believe that aionios should be translated as eternal not everlasting. unsa man diay ako isulti nimo ang wala nako tuhu-i?

Ni disagree ka about sa definition nga akong gipakita nimo about everlasting life og eternal life. And you said it is not biblical. Then i said there is a difference between the meaning of the words. JUST LIKE THERE IS A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WORDS "CONTINUING" AND "CONTINUOUS" THERE IS ALSO A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE OF MEANING BETWEEN THE WORD ETERNAL AND EVERLASTING.

The word aionios can be translated as ETERNAL OR EVERLASTING DEPENDING ON THE CONTEXT OF THE PASSAGE IN WHICH THE WORD IS IN.

Most Bibles are translated by various scholars. it is a composite work. many translators are assigned to translate the various books of the Bible.

some translators translate one word here differently while another also translates it diffferntly.

For example a translator working on the word aionios in JOhn may translate it as eternal while another translator working on the word aionios in the book of Romans translates it as everlasting.

Here I am reading it and is incredelous of the translation, studies the word and comes up with the conclusion that the other translator was right in translating it as eternal.

Translators are not infallible. They are subject to errors hence the need for many versions.

IKAW BAI NI DIRITSO DAYON KA OG PIKA. ANG ATONG GI STORYAHAN DIRI KAY TRANSLATION SA WORD NGA 'AIONIOS'

IKAW BAY HOW DO YOU THINK THE WORD AIONIOS SHOULD BE TRANSLATED MAN?

YOUR STATEMENTS ABOVE ARE FAR OUT KAAYO SA TOPIC AT HAND.

BASAHA SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY WITH UNDERSTANDING.
