the 30 troops killed when their helicopter was downed in Afghanistan, on August 6, 2011. The Pentagon identified the Americans as 17 members of the elite Navy SEALs, five Naval Special Warfare personnel who support the SEALs, three Air Force Special Operations personnel and an Army helicopter crew of five.

Do Navy guys carry TOWs?

I have yet to see a team carrying man-portable A/T or AA weapons--missions that require such fall more in the category of LI or SF/Delta--NSW ops usually involve capture/elimination of SPECIFIC targets or protection of vital personnel/VIP, and their main method of blowing up stuff is with explosives (remember, they're all BUDs) and not projectiles.

Yeah. Off the top of my head I thought I saw a photo of one team carrying one. I went back and took a closer look. If you look halfway down through this post, there is a photo of a team practicing with a mounted Mk19 AGL. I thought that tubular thing on the back of the gunner was a TOW.

Now, looking closer, it looks to me like a LAW.
