Do you agree with the dismissal of "*** inside Car" complaint?

it don't matter to me, like i said in my previous posts i don't agree with them bringing cases like this in court, it's ridiculous, a warning and asking them to leave the premises is good enough.

I am not advocating for criminalizing outdoor ***..but *** is something to be done in places that is sufficiently ISOLATED as to make the witnessing unlikely. Car park na Doi and it is reasonale to assume that people going about their normal business would possibly come across these people doing ***. Is it not outrageous to public decency?

Tell that to the SIKYO part . What was done inside the TINTED CAR is not PUBLIC for it was PRIVATE , clear na nimo syaron kuneta gihapon .

this is the part I'm worried about.. people would be doing "it" inside their cars in parking lots in malls and other "not so public places"..

I hope that this won't become a precedent for this activity: "*** inside cars" or worse "prostitution inside vans".. hope it won't become a modus for bugaws in luring foreigners inside malls "hey joe, I've got a sexy chick waiting for you inside a van with plate no. XXX-xxx"

'coz for sure ^^ that proposition is very possible. money won't change hands inside the van. it will be at the cafes inside malls making it hard for authorities to catch them..

Ruling ‘sends wrong signal’

A CEBU City councilor is dismayed by the dismissal of the alarm and scandal complaint against an unmarried couple who had *** inside a car, saying it might send the wrong signal to the public that such an act is acceptable.

Following the incident, Councilor Arsenio Pacaña called on the Cebu City Anti-Indecency Board (Caib) to review its guidelines and adopt measures that will strengthen the campaign against sexual activities perceived to be repulsive and scandalous to public morals.

The councilor is worried that the incident inside a private vehicle on a mall parking area last week would be followed by other couples, especially the youth.

‘Protect morals’

Pacaña said the dismissal of the complaint by the City Prosecutor’s Office may encourage “adventurous” couples to do the same, so government agencies should take steps to make sure such activity is not repeated.

In a proposed resolution, he also asked Caib to act and take a stronger stance against such a sexual act “in order to protect the welfare and morals of the city’s residents.”

“With due respect to the findings of the City Prosecutor’s Office, some religious and civic groups including Caib were appalled by the dismissal. It might send the wrong impression to other couples that engaging in sexual activities inside a car parked on a public place is publicly acceptable, and not repulsive or scandalous in nature,” Pacaña said.

A 36-year-old Filipino-American and a 25-year-old woman were caught having *** inside the car at a mall’s basement parking area last week.

They were arrested, but the complaint for grave scandal against them did not prosper.

The Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office dismissed the complaint, saying the act cannot be considered “offensive and scandalous.”

Assistant Cebu City Prosecutor Liceria Lofranco-Rabillas explained that a case for grave scandal “consists of acts that are offensive to decency and good customs, which, having been committed publicly, have given rise to public scandal to persons who have accidentally witnessed the act.

That is the very core of the issue and problem. It is not the first and it is not the last . No matter what we say , its ok 2 have *** in cars inside the malls parking basement , prostitution inside cars etc . It is not the first time to happen to happen and we all know that .

bottomline is yeah, as long as the tint keeps the actual act private. Bobbing and whatever movement vehicle makes is irrelevant. If people are imagining different things (and usually they're right) then that's their problem.

Most probably not. We own a little building too and I wouldn't allow stuff like that to be done in our parking area. I think mall execs aren't too keen about the idea too. This is the part when it is necessary to invade some of the privacy of their guests. The couples are no longer in a public place and thus a set of no-nos are given on top of the already existing Philippine laws. It's the same set of policies that allows them to stick their prods inside our bags and frisk us before we can get inside the malls.

So I guess it's more like.. you can have *** in cars inside mall basements but they (mall exec) probably won't allow it.
But yeah, they can't charge them with anything. They'll just ask them to leave.

If it were a public area this would've been a clear violation of personal space.

prostitution--ok? last time i checked it was illegal to do any kind of prostitution (though our government is really doing a lousy job of upholding that law).
