There is an old cliche that it is very easy to say but not very easy to do. Maayo lang ta mu comment2x kay wa man ta didto sa sitwasyon. Phil Police SWAT and SAF have training, but the blunder was that wala ning mga tawo with special training gideploy didto sa incident. Ingani man jud tang mga Pinoy, maayo kaayo ta mu criticize, mura tag mga expert. Kung kamo i butang didto beh, gamay ug sweldo, walay maayong gamit, way maayong life /death insurance, magpaka maayong laki ba kaha mo? Yes, kulang ug training tong ni assault sa bus, it is also because we are not exposed to such incidents, we lack the experience to deal in such crises. Filipinos love to hate and pass blame.
Take this video for example...Ka snappy ra sa mga Police diri. The real problem is that the Police do not have the heart for their duty. It boils down to two things, which is patriotism and benefits...Both of which are uncommon in the Filipino set-up.

From Sandman:
Some very knowledgeable people in the special operations community agree that hostage rescue (and other specialized unit skills) is not for everybody. For a unit to have this kind of skill set demands certain amount of dedication and budget. Obviously, dili tanang police districts diri sa Pinas naay ingana na budget para maka-finance ug inganing klase sa trainings.
The PNP has a dedicated unit to deal with these kinds of situations and that is the Special Action Force (SAF). We as a nation have allocated huge amounts of money to train these people. Kita mo sa mga training pics sa SAF? Napay pina-rappel na gauna ang ulo.
And I'm pretty sure they are also trained to double- and triple-tap targets at center mass or head shots (or else, unsa pa man diay ilang trainingan?), whether it's silhuettes or 5x5 index cards.
Ug nganong ang mga yamokmok ra man intawn ang ilang gipasagubang sa hostage situation? ... ang resulta, daghang higayun makita nato na ang "SWAT" wa kebaw unsay buhaton.
The blame should be on the person who ordered these poor cops to go in harm's way with the kind of training they had (or the lack of it).
We are way past showing the world we can be better because they have been training our guys since you or I were babies.* The world expects us to be better.*
