Most prostituted children and adults attribute fault to incest situations. Instead of protection and nurturance, prostituted children were victimized by their own parents. They feel more secure and safe with other men than with their own abusive parents. Losing self-esteem, they engage in sexual behavior in defiance or in seeking attention to their pathetic situation.

again. why? why is age a requirement? isnt this an invasion of personal freedom?

Unless you can guarantee that ALL people 15, 14 years old or less of age are also mature enough to decide for themselves about having *** and all its consequences, then the law must impose statutory rape if below legal age is involved. Why, you ask again?

The most precise and fair indicator for legal age is actually the maturity of a person, not the age. Age is just a practical approximation for this. Unfortunately, maturity is very subjective and hard to determine. If we would use maturity as a guidepost on when a person can have *** or not then things get very complicated. Do we need to apply for an "I-can-have-***-already" ID card from the government? Since there is no more age limit, we would need an official way to determine sexual maturity. "Hi miss! I've seen you around often. Can we go out? Oh, can I also see your 'I-can-have-***-already' ID card? Just making sure..."

Age limit for determining statutory rape is not a perfect system, but it is practical, simple, and it works. Anyway, if someone is not patient enough to wait till legal age to get it is probably also not mature enough to do so. Just my opinion though.

It'll take courage to report cases like rape, molestation and incest. The number of unreported cases is more than the reported.

Uncontrolled libido perhaps. More so with the easy access to pornography, and society's loosened morals.

Poverty is also a reason, but not always. Keep your mind pure, coz you'll never know when the lusting in you becomes uncontrollable.

reporting this kind of crime is not as easy as you think, mao gali mas daghan jud ang unreported cases. take incest for example, a victim cannot just report na-abused sya without risking the name of his/her family.

i just found out that another person close to me had been raped by her uncle, she never had the guts to tell her family but lately she decided to come out in the open to a few people that are close to her, though it was more 20 yrs ago when it happened to her , she said she had never recover, it still haunts her to the point that she still breaks down & cry about it.
