this is called relic-worship, rcruman. while the catholic church's official stand is against it, but sad to say, there are still many who venerate a saint, a saint's relic, or a sacred object. i don't know, maybe it gives them a sense of power or well-being. while they may still insist that their focus is upon God Himself, they still can't deny giving their whole-hearted devotion to a statue.

they are aids for Faith. It's practical. Its not worship, its veneration.

to be honest, way ayo ang ReEd nga curriculum sa akong skwelahan. Its too simplistic, sometimes an insult to the unviersity as an institution of learning. Students expect to learn the catholic religion, most of the time, well in my case, we ended up with mock-rituals that takes up all the time. If i were in a religious service perhaps understandable, but its an academic course, 12 units! may nalang sa PE you learn even an iota of THEORY, sa ReEd nako ambot nalang...

Pero nganong wala man mag venerate ang mga kristiyanos sauna hasta ang mga apostles nag venerate ba gud sila ug maski unsa na nga images 100 PERCENT SURE KO.. WALA GYUD INTAWN...
