Maski unsa pagka all-star sa line-up basta di moclick sa sistema sa coach, wa gyud gihapon ayo.hehehe.
Offensive minded lang gyud kaayo si Tanquincen, ever since his days with Ginebra, segunda lang gyud kaayo ang depensa. Ibalik na lang si Jong Uichico.hehe

ALASKA CLOSES OUT ELIMS WITH 3-WIN SKEIN
Miller sizzles as Aces earn possible playoff spot for semis seat
Friday, 11 January 2008
An outright quarters seat with a chance for an automatic semis entry still in the horizon.
That’s what Alaska has gotten as the Aces preserved their hot run against the Purefoods TJ Giants, scoring a 109-102 win to close out their stint in the 2007-08 Smart PBA Philippine Cup double-round eliminations at the Araneta Coliseum Friday night.
The Aces came out smoking, wavered in the third period but bristled again in the fourth for the crucial win that gave the team an 11-7 closing record in the elims.
Coach Tim Cone and his troops gain a playoff crack at the second outright semifinals seat should the Sta. Lucia Realtors lose their final assignment against the Air21 Express Sunday in the same venue.
"I don’t expect much. We’ll keep an eye on it (possible playoff) but not rest our hopes on it," said Cone.
"We can’t ask Air21 to work hard for us. It’s their call. We just have to be ready for any eventuality," Cone added.
With Alaska’s win, Red Bull moved out of the race for the second outright semis seat. The Barakos settle for a quarters slot even in case of a three-way tie with the Aces and the Realtors at second due to an inferior quotient.
Though assured of the top-seeding in the playoffs, the Giants put up a tough challenge before yielding the game to the Aces.
"The very reason why they finished No. 1 was their character. For a team assured of a semis slot and still work hard, it takes a lot of character to do that," said Cone in praising the Giants.
"They came out and made us earn it. We took care of our business. Hopefully, it puts some pressure on Sta. Lucia," Cone also said.
Willie Miller erupted for 31 points while Joachim Thoss had a double-double game with 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Aces closed out their elims stint with three straight wins.
Reynel Hugnatan and John Ferriols also put in big numbers but the Aces still faced anxious moments with the Giants stepping up their game in the final half.
Just when everybody thought Purefoods had given up, the Giants waged a big searing rally and seized the lead at 67-66 midway in the third.
Chico Lanete fueled the Purefoods third-quarter charge highlighted by a 15-to-nothing run capped by a three-point play by the prolific rookie off two-time MVP Willie Miller.
Lanete wound up with 16 points, three rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes of action.
Miller, however, had the last laugh. The former Letran mainstay poured in clutch baskets in a fightback that had the Aces reestablishing control at 81-73 at the end of the third quarter.
The Aces sustained the romp through the last quarter, posting a 19-point lead before eventually taking the win. (NC)
The scores:
Alaska 109 – Miller 31, Hugnatan 22, Thoss 18, Ferriols 13, De la Cruz 9, Cariaso 8, Aban 4, Cortez 4, Quinahan 0.
Purefoods 102 – Yap J. 23, Lanete 16, Simon 16, Raymundo 12,Yee 9, Adducul 7, Salvador 6, Yap R. 6, Castillo 5, Pingris 2, Rodriguez 0, Evangelista 0.
Quarterscores: 32-18, 56-49, 81-73, 109-102.
