you didn't catch my drift bro, they would now have two locations for hosting the ASEAN Summit which are Shangrilla and CICC. they can schedule the location of a specific meeting for "tomorrow" right after the last meeting of that said day. so "terrorists" would be on their toes on when and where to "attack". imagine if they only have 1 location to host the Summit, the "terrorists" would have a field day and a possible attack will be imminent. this is only one of the pros in this given scenario, the rest of the security details would be "top secret". hehehe..

like you said above "wow..so if i'm one of the terrorist then i will now have a clue that they are planning to mislead us..kewl all roads lead to Shangri-La " I still think the organizers are not that dumb.

^^lolz..ok..but let's side track from that terrorist issue..we knew that millions of pesos are being poured into the CICC construction ryt? but only to be declared as secondary venue?..i guess they are just wasting money here, if they want an existing facilities to host the summit then they could opt for Waterfront and Shangri-La directly.

^^ I believe "money" invested on this project won't go to waste even if they only use the CICC for about 30% of the total meetings. yes, people would look at it as a waste but come to think of it, the building is already there and they can put it to good use right after the summit just like what they've planned all along. as long as they utilize and maintain it properly, it's just ok.

I hope that CICC will be done before the summit. All I can see at the construction site are two cranes (I think).

Most Asean meetings set at CICC: Paynor

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit National Organizing Committee chairman Mariano Paynor clarified that only one of the series of 12 summit meetings will be held in Shangri-la’s Mactan Island Resort.

A total of 53 meetings will be held from Dec. 4 to 14, and 90 percent of them will be at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC), which is being built at the Mandaue Reclamation Area.

Ambassador Paynor said this alone gives the CICC “the importance that it must have.”

Some Capitol officials, including Vice Gov. Gregorio Sanchez Jr., were disappointed over reports that the final venue of the summit is Shangri-la and not the CICC.

“That is a perception and it is wrong,” Paynor said in a phone interview yesterday.
