that's just like saying it's ok for these people to fool you. that it's ok for them to paint you a rosy picture with one hand and rob you with the other.

sorry, i have too much self respect to subscribe to this idea. i cannot swallow these blatant lies. i pity those who do.

Bulatlat.com is a known left-winged group anchoring on its communist ideas. They have their biases to consider, I suppose.

I firmly believe that it is still our own doing that can improve us. It will not do anything good if we keep on blaming the government for not enhancing our living. We are primarily responsible for ourselves. The government can do its job in a national level basis, since it has to consider the public good. Those who keep on ranting about the government not doing enough should ask if they are doing so much for this country.

sure, so you'd rather look at who is talking rather than the facts presented. rather than verify the figures, you'd dismiss them simply because the 'messenger' happens to have a different political orientation than your own.

and to think that the same facts and figures are curiously corroborated by the National Statistical Coordination Board, a government agency.

though not limited to it alone, to recognize a blatant lie when i see one is at least better than swallowing ridiculous propaganda that runs counter to the facts and figures that the government itself produces.

one begins to solve a problem when one sees that there is indeed a problem.

it's a reality I have to deal with, yes. But to subscribe to those ideas and take everything for face value doesn't sit well for me. I know for a fact that whatever rosy picture you paint, it doesn't matter how beautiful it is. What matters is who gets the to savor the gains and who gets to sacrifice? Sadly, low-income earners bear the bulk of taxes while the more "blessed" are getting all the tax holidays...sana may exemption sa taxes ang low income earners. They should worry more of how to feed their families, not how to reconcile tax

morag na-apil ko aning low income earners da...
i'm just wondering... if our peso is stronger, and the world oil price is lower plus we have this 7.5% GDP growth... how come a quarter tank of gas costs me P600?

because there is still high demand for gas(and the higher the demand, prices tend to go up), taxes are passed on to consumers, etc. and im sure there are a lot of other reasons

    OT:

and oil prices now at the world market has risen to its peak at $82 per barrel .. patay. The peso's appreciation should be able to buffer this increase ... hopefully.
