Doomsweek, RO runs on wine. If it doesn't it's because of gameguard, from what I heard. Practically all gameguard enabled games I've tried don't run. Please ask from level-up the no gameguard version.

formatting all of them and installed a fresh XANDROS, UBUNTO & REDHAT

and other internet application only just for plain surfing.. No games
yet coz we know its hard to configure... The Cyberscript internet shop
is only a small cafe.. But were open because were not afraid anymore

If you'd like to have your shop test out Linux, we're here to help. If you'd like to discuss the commercial viability of using Linux, we can also do that. If you'd like for us to assume your risk of migrating over to Linux, we're probably the wrong person to talk to, it's your business perhaps you can talk to yourself and give us your decision.

Now for some of your points in question:

1.) There will be no business as the customers are not familiar with the interface. -- Maybe there will be no business, maybe there will. It's up to you to test and it's up to you not to test.

2.) You're making money, so it's worth to buy a license. This is a choice that is up to you. If you wish to spend for the licenses, that's your perogative. And it's definitely a choice you as a businessman and enterprenuer will have to make. All we're saying is that there is an alternative, we're willing to help you out... GRATIS (no strings attached).

3.) You want us to give you incentives? Can you please specify the incentives that you're alluding to?

This isn't a game that we're trying to play on the internet cafe owners, this is an answer from the Linux Community here in Cebu to answer the pleas given to our organization about helping their internet cafe migrate over to Linux.

Once again, if you're not interested or are not willing to risk a pilot of migration over to Linux. Please, be our guest on not switching. No one is forcing you to switch.

We are only saying, if you want to see if a SWITCH to linux is plausible for your setting. We'll be more than HAPPY to do this for free and help you out.

I can refute that. My friend set up Fedora in his internet cafe, he's the only one running in the area and his cafe is puno daw.

kung tinuod man gani, i wonder how many times nag pangyawa^ ang mga costumer kay they're not familiar with the interface.

Either that or you suffer the fate of being raided, and cafe being forced open, and pay a bigger amount in the first place, assuming of course you have an internet cafe.

If you dont pay the licence, you will be raided, obvious ba? You're making money from it so it's worth to buy a licence.

Little trivia, don't you know on of the highest paying jobs abroad are Linux consultants?

and there you are...what's the point of having Linux if you pay to high paying consultants?

To those linux advocates and wanna be linux consultants, if you really want to do that, you should give incentives to internet cafe who will become guinea pig or your pilot.

Warning to internet cafe, this pilot crap is a risk ug dili na duwa^ duwa^ inyong negosyo. after all, ikaw ray mag-igo.

I was open yesterday morning till about 3 PM.... medyo kapoy kay kinahanglan pa ko mo tutor sa mga customers kay bisag mura rag windows ang linspire, lisud lang gihapon i manipulate.... all help i need is for at least counterstrike and warcraft III to run in my PCs... i got 3 ORIG boxes of CS and warcraft III...i bought them for test... kung modagan lang nang 2 ka games diri ill buy 1 box each for all my PCs.....

how about online games? if ur using linspire maghimohimo pa ba ka script? to run the game? help bay kay 2 days na jud ko intawon way opeation. pde ko anha cebu bisan 2morow. contact jonathan 0916 7533516.
im in tacloban city working with local linux user. ang progress dd kay starcraft and counter strike ra man ang magdagan. theyre using mandrake distro.

@MisterSuave: don't know if you've already read this, but i found this site which claims Warcraft III will run over Wine. it also contains guides for other games

tol, just PM ur number to me dont post it kc alam mo na...Im sticking to linspire kay hapit na ko kita ug cedega w/ point2play that suits debian sources....

i was able to run warcraft on linspire using cedega.what we did is copy a working copy of warcraft dota from windows and run it linspire using point2play from transgaming.
