I sus, ugma, sugod na kog diping my footage sa 35mm, it's so easy gyud!

pero gusto man gud kog feel na pina Testsuya nomura-cine-esque, na FFVII:AC look.

    hmmm...

this is a very interesting topic, I wonder why I didn't see it.

mostly everything's been covered here, hehe
    sarap talaga maging indie!

BTW, do you guys have musical scorers? the type who would score the music, together on screen? tipo yung parang john williams?

I'm lucky to have a very good composer who practices the same way, yung kuhang-kuha nya talaga ang mood sa scoring nya.

from a really Indie POV long ago, I had to struggle with really bad royalty free music from the internet.

    Best regards,
    Dante

    PS
Vanceloma, puno na po yung pm inbox mo.
    Pls advise.

Sa SineBuano may isang scorer at saka director/editor pa rin. Parang Jerry Goldsmith o kaya Bill Conti!
Marunong rin siya mag acting kase may experience rin sa theater.

Hence ang sinasabi mo nga "Indie Spirit"

Can anyone recommend a good d.p / lighting director? Am exploring the possibility of producing quality television commercials for regional ads.

Jomark and Pnoize2k4 of the forums here are very good in that department and also without compromising the artistic integrity of what they do..... PM them basin makatabang sila. hehehe

When I visited IAFT I saw some works. I saw the short film HAUNTED and I was blown away.

Maybe you can tap the makers of that film coz I was told they are locals. I like the shots.
That's why it was so good because it was made by locals (who were natural talents) and there were no bombastic requirements of having the cast speak English hence the absence of stilted acting and dialogue which is otherwise very common in films in which IAFT has a hand.

    PRODUCTION DESIGN....

in indie sense... there is a triangle to production design,

    CHEAP
    / \
    FAST QUALITY

The alchemy of Production Design ,In the real world, out of this triangle, you can only gain TWO of them, and the other sacrificed.

If you want CHEAP and FAST...you'd sacrifice quality,
If you want QUALITY and it is FAST....it won't come cheap...
but if you want QUALITY and CHEAP....it'll takle a long time.
    etc...

keep in mind there are ways to overcome this triangle...if you can execute all...you're really good...or have lots of time and money...or you're an alchemic master...

I was told it was made by an IAFT student. Are you saying they lied?

Are you an IAFT student? Or a local with natural talent?

    Logged
Student NOT staff it wasn't inititiated by IAFT mentors per se but was made by those who are "natural" talents... Hey I did acknowledge IAFT being a part of this somehow.... but I don't think Roy or Andrew started it cos Jackie Etulle the title character actress told me that it was a personal project of Mr. Tarog....
