SF's CREATIVE ADVOCACY

We were never a "NORMAL" band who wanted Fame and "SIKAT category" or the "next level Manila discovery nationwide fame" but just wanted to portray OUR own music to Jump start a regional Music powerhouse in Cebu AND THE VISMIN area.

the term BISROCK

...Some say we jump start Bisrock in 2004 ups and its movements but we never claim it to be true cuz every body contributed to it.Other artist gave more influenced than us. As usual its the Media that termed most Visaya music as "Bisrock". Visayan music started way before. But the name stuck for the new generation.

Major Labels and Manila question

SO the persistant question we always been bombarded with is "HOW COME -SMOOTH FRICTION- NEVER BECAME BIG IN MANILA?

simple WE NEVER INTENDED TO BE BIG in the first place we just wanted to create music and BE an ADVOCATE TO MAKE OUR OWN (your own) MUSIC WHEREver WE ARE.

We advocate everybody NOT to wait to be discovered but to discover themselves and create create, CREATE....BE Regionalistic first. Everything will follow.(This was 2000)

as what our guitarist say to the several Major labels invitations: "M.Labels dosnt know how to foreplay."

Create your own music.

Sooo many Vis-Min good artists started this way, by the time Manila empirialist started to listen to them ( which was we hope for) they wanted to transfer all their creative energy and be Manila based cuz of its "cool image" and the "Industry is there"...where the money and exposure is golden...who can blame em (every band dreams of being big in Manila).Giving way to create a regional alternative musical node in Pinas INDEPENDENT from Manila.

But alas not everybody has the same conviction and determination....or are we just NUTS to turn them down.

Hey dont get us wrong they have their own dreams, goals, and reasons (other artist/bands)...so We SF and a bunch of new artists will continue to pursue our own little niche of Cebu music powerhouse....where it all rebooted/re- started in 2000. SOUTHSIDE GROOVES rules

We have made a difference but its still a small dent to the centralized music industry.
