Naka gamit ko ug Vengence in making some systems batian ko because of the following

1.) Much more expensive than the competing brand
2.) Chips used are binned for slower speeds
3.) Really tall heat spreaders
4.) XMP Profile forces 1.65vDIMM and 1.1VTT ( on the 1866 modules, not sure about the 1600 )

Get G.Skill instead, as its faster,cheaper and uses lesser volts.

What can you say about this? And regarding adtong sa Vengeance so far ang price for 16GB (4GBx4) kay around 11-12k whereas ang G.skill mo abot naman ug 13+

I was planning na diretso nalang jd ko 16GB since tag dugay pa man jd ko mo upgrade. Need your advice.

What apps do you use that eat up a full 16GB of RAM ?

So far wala pa man pd ko apps na gi gamit or ni consume ug 16GB hehe, its just that i want to make full of max support for the board coz as i have said it will be a long time pa ko mo upgrade (it took me 7yrs to change my current setup). para wala jd ni mahay boss earlz.

after the ram i'll also get a high end video card puhon2x

Getting 16Gb when you cant use it is a total waste of money even if you say its gonna take you another 10yrs to upgrade your current setup, for gaming 4Gb will be enough maybe upto the next 4-5yrs. 8GB should cover everything. If you plan to do some photo/video editing that needs more memory you can simply buy more memory later on.. Memory these days are getting cheaper.. DDR3 is massively over supplied and I wont be surprised to see modules that as low as Php 750 per 2GB of 1600Mhz anytime soon as it happened to DDR2.

Get 4Gb or 8Gb now and be happy with it, I have 4Gb now and I dont need more, with my Q6600 setup I had 8GB and I needed more because of the sideline work I was into.

About the RAM pricing, If your ok with the corsair and its also cheaper then go with it.. in my case my supplier was able to give me the G.Skill a lot less.

Ok boss noted. Hmmm... i wonder if pwede pud nimo ma sultihan asa ko ka kuha ug lain supplier for the G.skill modules? coz im planning to buy na this week (actually karon unta to if naa pa lang jd available) G.skill modules are hard to find locally man gud.

Try to check sa TPC, even retail prices in manila are cheaper than dealers price in cebu.

I have the 4GB model running it at 2133Mhz 9-10-9 coz I wanna stick with 1.500v but you can run it at 7-10-7-28 at 1.64v I believe.
