Unbelievable and Shocking Discovery: Animals That Resemble Humans | Scienceray
What if one day, you happen to see any of these bizarre animals, appearing half human and half animal? Will you run away from this weird animal? Will you scream out in shock, or will you just release it back to the wild?

In regards to the caught fish, Russian ichthyologists denied the theory that the human-teeth fish was a result as mutation because it would take hundreds of years for the mutation to occur on the caught fish. Up to now, scientists have no explanation for this strange phenomenon, but could only manage to shrug their shoulders in amazement.

    Human Goat

In the village of Maboleni, Zimbabwe, Africa, one goat gave birth to a rarely seen hybrid-looking animal that had human features.

He had human-like arms, face, nose, head, skin, back, neck, mouth, shoulders, along with goat’s tail and legs. Midlands Governor Jason Machaya believed that this bizarre creature was the end result of bestiality but experts denied by saying that it was impossible for an animal to have *** with a human and then produce a baby of any form. Scientists emphasized that inter-breeding among humans and other closely resemblance species including gibbons, gorillas and chimpanzees produced no results at all. Meanwhile, an officer from the Midlands’ Provincial Veterinary, Dr. Thomas Sibanda said that it was not scientifically possible for a human to impregnate an animal and he might perceive that the human goat was a product of a miracle. Dr. Sibanda further remarked that animals are commonly born with the hydrocephalus condition, in which its occurrence may cause an animal to have big head full of water and this condition can directly cause a shift from a normal position of nose, chin and ears.

This human goat however, died several hours after birth. Not long after that, the superstitious villagers set the fire to burn this human goat as they feared that this creature might be a bad omen and they believed this supernatural occurrence might possibly be a product of witchcraft.

    Human-headed Octopus

This human-headed octopus was found in Eastern part of Sumatra, Indonesia. Allegedly, an Indonesian man went to the market and he came back with a bag of baby octopuses. He then handed over these octopuses for his wife, Ita, to cook.

While being stir-fried, this human-headed octopus, all of a sudden, stood out from the rest of the baby octopuses in the pan, resurfaced and a tear started rolling down from its eyes, as though begging Ita not to cook it.

What if one day, while cooking, you happen to see an animal you cook crying in the wok or pan? What would you do then? Will you run away from this creature, or will you scream out of shock, or will you just release it back to nature?

    Other Human-likenesses in Animals

The above video shows a bird, an octopus, a fish, and so forth with an animal body but a human head. It was said that this video was shot from a mysterious ‘genetic experimentation’ laboratory in China. How would you believe on their existence? They look real and not likely to be fake ones. They can even respond to human’s language. Do you have any opinions about these creatures? I would be interested in your opinion.

Half snake half human? This sounds like a legendary story. Did they exist? Yes, they did. They are the most incredible snakes ever found and reported and their existence is unbelievable and still remains a mystery in our modernized world.

This snake has a human-like head with a snake body. It’s called “siluman ular” but some of the Indonesians called it “nyai borong”, a name given to “a queen” from a snake species. The locals called it “Jenglot”. It was allegedly said that this incredible snake moved like a snake while making human sound. This sounds scary and sends chill down my spine.

When too many people looked at Jenglot, she’ll burry her head inside the curl. Her keeper, an old man who first found it near the river beside his house in Tulungagung District, western part of Java, Indonesia said that he found this unusual snake by the dream. The snake also pleaded with him in the dream to treat her well. Jenglot would prefer to get the nutrients of the blood with its own way. It neither moved nor touched on the fresh animal blood (e.g. goat) her keeper used to feed her.

When found, Jenglot’s body was measured around 90 centimetres from her body to her tail. It was recognized as a female snake by its long blonde hair and a woman-like appearance. Interestingly, it was also found that it has two white eyebrows lengthwise, along with her attractive staring eyes on her head.

As Jenglot’s appearance is similar to that mermaid, it has described as a creepy, living mummy measuring 15-20centimetres in length, together with her long nails and staring eyes. To some people, they believe that Jenglot is a type of mummy, dating back 300 years old.

In conjunction to Jenglot’s discovery, one strange creature with a python body of a snake and a human head was found in a small town in Pahang, Malaysia. It has a mouth, a pair of eyes and a long hair just like a human, but its appearance looks like a wrinkled old person, or more exactly it appears to be a snake monster. While examining closely, it was observed that it has a pair of skinny legs just beneath its head, but the most notable feature is its white hoary beard.

It was reported to be captured by Malaysian aborigines (or Orang Asli). They said they found two beasts, female and male, but they could only manage to capture the female one. Rumour had spread that this snake even begged them to release her to the mountainous area, and some people said that the snake was attempting to summon the male snake monster to come to rescue her.

From an alien-looking fish, to a leafy sea dragon, down to leaping fish that can live on lands, these sea creatures are not only amazing but are truly… Strange-looking! Below is a list showing the World’s 10 most strange sea creatures.

    Leafy Sea Dragon

    photo link

Its name will perhaps chill one to death, however its look will never scare anyone. A remarkably beautiful sea creature, having a number of long, leaf-like appendages, thus getting its name. A relative of seahorse and pipefish, the leafy sea dragon (Phycodurus equess) sports a long, pipe-like snout, and can reach 20–24 cm long. (8–10 in). that it uses to feed. It inhabit the coastal waters of Australia. The leafy sea dragon’s leaf-like appendages serves as camouflage, aiding this vulnerable sea creature to blend in with seaweed. It feeds on zooplankton, shrimps and larval fishes. It can live from 5-10 years.

    Sunfish

    photo link

The ocean sunfish (Mola mola), is another very unique sea creature most likely many have never heard before. Considered the world’s heaviest bony fish, adults average about 1,000 kg! This strange fish lives in tropical and temperate regions around the world feeding on various jellyfish, small fishes, squid, crustaceans, and eel grass. It has a flattened shape, rough skin texture and silver-gray in color.

    Blobfish

    photo link

This unique but disgusting-looking deep sea fish inhabits the coastal waters of Australia and Tasmania. The blobfish (Psychrolutes marcidus), lives at depth of about 800 meters, where the pressure is about 80 times higher than at sea level. No wonder, it is rarely seen by human and the only way to catch one is by bottom trawling using nets. Having a gelatin-like flesh with a lighter density ratio than water, the blobfish floats just above the sea bed expending less energy on swimming.

    Frogfish

    photo link

This bizarre-looking fish absolutely fits its name. Its appearance resemble that of a cross between a frog and a fish. Found in almost all tropical and subtropical waters around the world, frogfish eat small fish, crustaceans, and even each other. They vary in sizes from as small as 5 cm to some larger species who grow up to 38 cm. These strange creatures vary in colors, from brown, black, yellow, red, orange, white, green, purple or blue. Their strange color, shape and skin textures aid them to escape predators as well as to lure potential meal. They hardly move that much, instead use their highly developed leg-like pelvic and pectoral to walk along the ocean floor in search for meal.

    Barreleye

    photo link

Another unique sea creature, one may think have come from another planet. Barreleyes is a small deep-sea fish having a dome-shaped, transparent head, full of very transparent scales; and large, telescopic eyes that are generally gazed upwards to spot the presence of potential prey. Inhabiting tropical-to-temperate waters of the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, barreleyes have small toothless mouth, a pointed snout, and small spineless fins. Barreleyes feed on small fishes and jellyfish.

    Leaping Blenny

    photo link

The Leaping Blenny (Alticus saliens), is such a very energetic saltwater fish. These unusual sea creatures are They are found in the Pacific Ocean, particularly in Cook Islands and Society Islands. They are found mostly in damp shallow spots of pitted limestone. A remarkable feature of these fish is their ability to leap from place to place when disturbed and can survive outside of water. The Leaping Blenny averages about 8 cm long. They have 14 – 15 soft, elongated dorsal fins, 26 – 27 anal soft rays, and 2 anal spines. They are oviparous, meaning they lay demersal eggs that hatch outside the body.

    Crocodilefish

    photo link

The Crocodilefish (Cymbacephalus beauport), also known as De Beaufort’s flathead, is a non-migratory. bottom-dwelling flathead species. It is found in the tropical waters in the western Pacific regions the Red Sea, Palau, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Borneo, and the Philippines. They have elongated bodies marked with irregular green markings, 9 or 10 dorsal spines, 11 anal soft rays, large pelvic fins, and no anal spines. They can measure up to 70 cm length. Crocodilefish are piscivore (fish eater) and a specialized predator feeding on other species and crustaceans.

    JellyNose Fish

    photo link

Another strange fish on this list, the jellynose fish or the tadpole fish, are small, bottom-dwelling, deep-water fish. There incredibly rare sea creatures are found in the Pacific coast of Central America, Caribbean Sea, and the Indo-pacific oceans. They have a long, gelatinous bodies that can reach 2 meters in length. They have large heads, a bulbous snout, small teeth, very long tails, and very small caudal fins. These unique fish are normally brown to black in color.

    Viperfish

    photo link

This is one sea creature you would avoid seeing on the waters, harmless or not, its fearsome appearance would make you froze. Viperfish (Chauliodus sloani), inhabits tropical waters of the major oceans living at depths between 457.2 to 2743.2 m. One of the fearsome predators of the deep, they can easily be distinguished by their hinged skull, large bulldog-like mouth and razor-sharp, fang-like teeth. These large teeth are used to immobilize its prey. Viperfish are about 15.0 to 25.0 cm long and can weigh up to 23 g. They are carnivorous feeding on crustaceans such as hermit crabs, shrimp, squid, and consume other little fish.

    Hairy Angler

    photo link

Our last entry on the list is an odd-looking fish that was accidentally discovered by BBC film crew while doing the documentary film The Blue Planet. Making its home at depth over 1,000 meters below the ocean’s surface, they are found in the Indo-Pacific, western North Atlantic and Eastern Atlantic oceans. They have small eyes, large dorsal fins, huge mouth, and a stretchable stomach capable of swallowing prey bigger than their size. Their bodies are covered with sensory spines and hairs which help in sensing water vibrations created by possible prey. Hairy-anglers eat fishes and crustaceans.

    The Seven Ancient Wonders

1Great Pyramid of Giza 2584-2561 BC Egyptians Believed to have been built as the tomb of fourth dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu. Still in existence Still in existence Giza Necropolis, Egypt

The Great Pyramid of Giza (also called the Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. Egyptologists believe that the pyramid was built as a tomb for fourth dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu[1] (Cheops in Greek) and constructed over a 14 to 20-year period concluding around 2560 BC. Initially at 146.5 metres (480.6 ft), the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years, the longest period of time ever held for such a record. Originally, the Great Pyramid was covered by casing stones that formed a smooth outer surface; what is seen today is the underlying core structure. Some of the casing stones that once covered the structure can still be seen around the base. There have been varying scientific and alternative theories about the Great Pyramid's construction techniques. Most accepted construction hypotheses are based on the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and lifting them into place.

Hanging Gardens of Babylon Around 600 BC Babylonians Diodorus Siculus described multi-levelled gardens reaching 22 metres (75 feet) high, complete with machinery for circulating water. Large trees grew on the roof. Built by Nebuchadnezzar II for his wife Amytis of Media. After 1st century BC Earthquake Al Hillah, Babil Province, Iraq

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are considered to be one of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. They were built in the ancient city-state of Babylon, near present-day Al Hillah, Babil, in Iraq. They are sometimes called the Hanging Gardens of Semiramis (in reference to the legendary Queen Semiramis).

The gardens were supposedly built by the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II around 600 BC. He is reported to have constructed the gardens to please his homesick wife, Amytis of Media, who longed for the trees and fragrant plants of her homeland.[1] The gardens were destroyed by several earthquakes after the 2nd century BC.

The lush Hanging Gardens are extensively documented by Greek historians such as Strabo and Diodorus Siculus. Through the ages, the location may have been confused with gardens that existed at Nineveh, since tablets from there clearly show gardens. Writings on these tablets describe the possible use of something similar to an Archimedes screw as a process of raising the water to the required height.[2] Nebuchadnezzar II also used massive slabs of stone, which was unheard of in Babylon, to prevent the water from eroding the ground.

3Temple of Artemis at Ephesus c. 550 BC Lydians, Persians, Greeks Dedicated to the Greek goddess Artemis, it took 120 years to build. Herostratus burned it down to achieve lasting fame. Rebuilt by Alexander the Great only to be destroyed again by the Goths. 356 BC (by Herostratus)
    AD 262 (by the Goths)
Arson by Herostratus, Plundering near Selçuk, Izmir Province, Turkey

The Temple of Artemis (Greek: Ἀρτεμίσιον, or Artemision/), also known less precisely as the Temple of Diana, was a Greek temple dedicated to a goddess Greeks identified as Artemis and was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was sited at Ephesus (the modern town of Selçuk in present-day Turkey), and was completely rebuilt three times before its eventual destruction in 401 by St John Chrysostom, archbishop of Ephesus, who incited a mob of Christians to completely destroy the temple.[1] Only foundations and sculptural fragments of the latest of the temples at the site remain.

The first sanctuary (temenos) antedated the Ionic immigration by many years, and dates to the Bronze Age. Callimachus, in his Hymn to Artemis, attributed it to the Amazons. In the seventh century the old temple was destroyed by a flood. Its reconstruction began around 550 BC, under the Cretan architect Chersiphron and his son Metagenes, at the expense of Croesus of Lydia: the project took some 120 years to complete, only to be destroyed in an act of arson by the infamous Herostratus. It was later rebuilt.

Antipater of Sidon, who compiled the list of the Seven Wonders, describes the finished temple:

I have set eyes on the wall of lofty Babylon on which is a road for chariots, and the statue of Zeus by the Alpheus, and the hanging gardens, and the colossus of the Sun, and the huge labour of the high pyramids, and the vast tomb of Mausolus; but when I saw the house of Artemis that mounted to the clouds, those other marvels lost their brilliancy, and I said, "Lo, apart from Olympus, the Sun never looked on aught so grand".[2]

4Statue of Zeus at Olympia 466-456 BC (Temple) 435 BC (Statue) Greeks Occupied the whole width of the aisle of the temple that was built to house it, and was 12 meters (40 feet) tall. 5th-6th centuries AD Fire Olympia, Greece

The seated statue, some 12 meters (43 feet) tall, occupied half of the width of the aisle of the temple built to house it. "It seems that if [Zeus]] were to stand up," the geographer Strabo noted early in the 1st century BC, "he would unroof the temple."[2] The Zeus was a chryselephantine sculpture, made of ivory and gold-plated bronze. No copy in marble or bronze has survived, though there are recognizable but approximate versions on coins of nearby Elis and on Roman coins and engraved gems.[3] A very detailed description of the sculpture and its throne was recorded by the traveler Pausanias, in the 2nd century AD. The sculpture was wreathed with shoots of olive worked in gold and seated on a magnificent throne of cedarwood, inlaid with ivory, gold, ebony, and precious stones. In Zeus' right hand there was a small statue of crowned Nike, goddess of victory, also chryselephantine, and in his left hand, a sceptre inlaid with gold, on which an eagle perched.[4] Plutarch, in his Life of the Roman general Aemilius Paulus, records that the victor over Macedon, when he beheld the statue, “was moved to his soul, as if he had seen the god in person,” while the 1st century AD Greek orator Dio Chrysostom declared that a single glimpse of the statue would make a man forget all his earthly troubles.[5]

5Mausoleum of Halicarnassus 351 BC Carians, Persians, Greeks Stood approximately 45 meters (150 feet) tall, with each of the four sides adorned with sculptural reliefs. Origin of the word mausoleum, the tomb built for Mausolus, a satrap in the Persian Empire by AD 1494 The original structure was destroyed by flood. A new structure was built and was damaged by an earthquake and eventually disassembled by European Crusaders. Bodrum, Turkey

The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus or Tomb of Mausolus[1] (in Greek, Μαυσωλεῖον τῆς Ἁλικαρνασσοῦ) was a tomb built between 353 and 350 BC at Halicarnassus (present Bodrum, Turkey) for Mausolus, a satrap in the Persian Empire, and Artemisia II of Caria, his wife and sister. The structure was designed by the Greek architects Satyros and Pythis.[2][3] It stood approximately 45 m (148 ft) in height, and each of the four sides was adorned with sculptural reliefs created by each one of four Greek sculptors — Leochares, Bryaxis, Scopas of Paros and Timotheus.[4] The finished structure was considered to be such an aesthetic triumph that Antipater of Sidon identified it as one of his Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

The word mausoleum has now come to be used generically for any grand tomb.

6Colossus of Rhodes 292-280 BC Greeks A giant statue of the Greek god Helios, god of the sun, c. 35 m (110 ft) tall. 226 BC Earthquake Rhodes, Greece

The Colossus of Rhodes was a statue of the Greek god Helios, erected in the city of Rhodes on the Greek island of Rhodes by Chares of Lindos between 292 and 280 BC. It is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was constructed to celebrate Rhodes' victory over the ruler of Cyprus, Antigonus I Monophthalmus, who unsuccessfully besieged Rhodes in 305 BC. Before its destruction, the Colossus of Rhodes stood over 30 meters (107 ft) high, making it one of the tallest statues of the ancient world.[1]

7Lighthouse of Alexandria c. 280 BC Hellenistic Egypt, (Greeks) Between 115 and 135 meters (380 – 440 ft) high, it was among the tallest structures on Earth for many centuries. The name of the island that it was built on, Pharos, eventually became the Latin word for lighthouse, pharos. AD 1303-1480 Earthquake Alexandria, Egypt

The Lighthouse of Alexandria, also known as the Pharos of Alexandria (in greek ὁ Φάρος Ἀλεξανδρινóς) was a tower built between 280 and 247 BC on the island of Pharos at Alexandria, Egypt. Its purpose was to guide sailors into the harbour at night time.

With a height variously estimated at somewhere in-between 393 and 450 ft (120 and 140 m), it was for many centuries among the tallest manmade structures on Earth. It was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
