I really have to agree with you. There may be some folks who feel more comfortable speaking in English so let's not be too judgmental.

    Cheers!

And let me tell you, that the word "social climber" is something harsh of a word to say. Not all cc agents are social climbers. Im an obvious evidence to that--

""Social climber" may be used as an insult, suggesting a poor work ethic or disloyalty to roots. The term is sometimes used as synonymous with parvenu, one who has suddenly risen to a higher economic status but has not gained the social acceptance of others in that class."
My point is what you said. Many people (mostly those from the established old rich) like to use this word "social climber" harshly to insult people who are simply trying to act above their perceived status.

I don't accept the notion that social climber is something to be ashamed of. If these call center agents are acting like social climber, then more power to them. To me it is just ordinary people trying to make something better of themselves and attain wealth in their own way and time. That after all is the essence of a capitalist society and it should be encouraged rather than mocked.

TS is pointing fingers and yelling social climber. I'm just shrugging my shoulders and saying so what? Good on them...

i agree with this. Social climber is not the right word.

    dont generalize cc agents.
Ive been working with this industry for more than 3yrs.

Just mind your own business. If wala moy labot niya or dili mo kaila then palayo. pagstoryag bisaya sa imong kaugalingon.

Give us call center/BPO employees a break. The money we spend and circulate in the PH is a big help in keeping the country afloat.

The same with seamen/seafarers, give them a break for the same reason if you seem them wearing a lot jewelry. The nurses and caregivers, too.

Heck, even ang mga medreps nga sige mag necktie, give them a break.
