life abroad is a paradise labi na day off....yehey tapok tapok nasad ta mga pinoy....
Living and working abroad is not always been easy, besides the emotional strained of missing your love ones and friends, but the Phsychological strained as well of trying to embrace a new culture.
When i moved here in the states 5 yrs ago and leaving a high paying job in Cebu, i take the risk of not knowing whats my future gonna be. It was really tough and stress was immense, but through hard effort, deligence, patience and divine wisdom,I learned to adjust and adopt everything, and it really pays off. I think its just a matter of how you handle your day to day life in a stressfull world and learned to enjoy it, and I always make it a point to have 1 or 2 trips in a year (europe and Phils.) to destress yourself. Good thing for us Pinoys, we are very sturdy people and can easily adopt on what life can throw upon us. it might be good, bad or worse.
If you ask me if Phils. is PARADISE? my answer is both yes and no.
YES, coz of our family, friends, laid back and the Tropical weather.
NO, coz limited opportunity, skyrocketing prices and a very corrupt government.
It's really not that hard to adjust and ADAPT (pero depende sab tingali na sa nasod) - sa akong na experience, ang kina lisuran lang gyud was to get used to doing everything yourself and not relying on maids/housekeepers. Pag laba, luto, hugas plato, etc.. But everything else - di man lisod. Theculture, how things work, the daily routine, an everything else- it didn't take that much effort to get used to.

Why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?
makaya raman pero ang pinaka lami gyud ang pinas.. tanan na naa sa kallipayan, kasakit ug kalami..
heheehehehehehe.
bitaw... lisod jud ang sugod.. pero it's about learning to adapt
i'd say it also depends on the environment... kung asa ka sa US puyo. Manhattan man ka bro diba? i'd say if i were on your situation, it wouldn't take long for me to get used to the environment also. considering NYC, daghan kalingawan... you'd never get bored out of your mind.
on the other hand, kung gikan kag Cebu then mukalit lang ari sa US then BUKID pa gyud, lisud i-adjust. hehehehe... diri sa MD this is the perfect place for me. dili kaayo samok like NYC, then dili pud mingaw. sakto-sakto lang.
it is just normal when you are new to a place but after a few months you will get used to it.....it is indeed a paradise given philippines in comparrison.....don't ask me where is my sense of patriotism? And who wud care about a country whose leaders know not about the rights of its own people.....who made its citizens squatters of its own land.....what bring to our very doorstep each day are bad news of corruption, man slaughter, rape, wars and all these terrors unfold before our very eyes.....i'd rather take shelter in a foreign land even if it means serving giant JOE at the expense of my own countrymen. This has now become a worldwide phenomenon.....the pinoys can be seen in every corner of the world, ask them why and you'll get to hear synonymous reply.....staying in our country is a hope against hope!!!!! Bright future can only be seen in paintings. One time a very close american friend of mine asked me things about my country and i started enumerating the best that we have, and i showed him a powerpoint presentation of Bonifacio Global City and he was amazed....and not long enough he saw the country for himself and to his surprise for he saw things for the first time...people in Payatas, people living under bridges.....and many more...he missed boni global city though, he went back to me and asked me why, and another why before i cud say a single word, it left me speechless for a while...and finally i said....ThaT is why i am here!
who said na it is?
life abroad is a paradise if your just staying there for vacation..![]()
