use trial version of operating system
    use playable demo of games
    use free benchmarking softwares

it would be enough to showcase what the rig is capable and beside it would not be about gaming only
pwede man sad mo explain ang owner about his rig, what tweaks ang gihimo and giunsa

  2. #112
yeah and I'm pretty sure that there would be some programmers out there that have created their own benchmarking softwares. There is more to this than gaming. but the main purpose is to show off their power systems.

Since the event is loosely based on a LAN Party then I guess you should read wikipedia's article on LAN Parties: LAN party - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

LAN Parties, are in no way promoting piracy. The biggest LAN Party which is Dreamhack (Jonkoping, Sweden) never had to run across this kind of consciousness. The idea of piracy in LAN Parties is the most pessimistic yet unwarranted and unwanted idea in a LAN Party. I come to LAN Parties because you get to socialize and play with people in 1 room which barely happens over the internet.

why not start something that will allow students to connect, exchange ideas and programming techniques, and inspire them to put more passion into their chosen career. show a student a cool new game on your exhibit and guess where hes off to next? m i n i n o v a, thepiratebay, kung naay kwarta sa muslim sa colon.
I bet you haven't seen games set at ultra maxed out detail at 60-80 fps.
Probably your getting used to an internet cafe computer graphics or on a computer w/ limited to mediocre detail settings.
See for your self how a mediocre computer compares to extreme rig. Which you might not have seen. This is your once in a lifetime opportunity to see for yourself.

ANyway This activity will encourage IT students to become game programers and developers. Not only IT professionals would benefit from gaming but also artist and fine arts students.
Large percentage of the game developing team are the art department. Artistry in games are as important as the programing the game.
Depends on the Game most Jap RPG games are hugely artistic.

What the (my mom told me not to swear anymore), so you're saying of all of the LAN Parties in the world, it is DUMB (again, my mom told me not to swear anymore)? What about QuakeCon? What about Dreamhack? What about LANageddon? What about CyberAthlete Professional League? What about Mandaue Business Month LAN Party 2008? What about the 48 hour LAN Party in Malaysia?

Oh yes I forgot, you're ignorant, ignorant as hell and you obviously have no idea or you never have been into a LAN Party. Try to do your research first because your ignorance serves nothing here.

Maybe you haven't heard that even schools around the world have their own LAN Parties, try even asking the gamer community of MIT and they know they always have LAN parties there, in their very own rooms. It's just a shame really that only a few schools do it in this country.

Ooohhh... If I were blizz, I would be so scared I would piss in my pants.

I don't know blizz personally, but I have been in these kinds of events and I also reserve my right to defend it.

Good luck on this event, for sure there are plenty of critics here who obviously have no idea, or who haven't done their homework first before attacking this event.

one good thing about having a Rig Expo is to encourage the non technical people to try out ...
para maka incite ta ug interest ..... kay ang future is padulung man gyud sa computers.

our hardcore rigs are just eyecandy lang

para sad ma wagtang ang ilang fear of using technology...

like me father.... dili gusto mu gamit sa akong rig kay he prefers the black and white monitors nga ki gamit niya sa office

kita dire sa istorya are jsut a fraction of the whole enthusiast community.

this is a perfect opportunity nga mag abot tanan diehards
