ei cris_hut.. glad to hear that you're going to bacolod.. where will you be staying? anyway, i think august will be a good time to visit mambukal coz dili na peak season.. c",) i'm sure you would enjoy being there.. but i'm sure there would be lots of koreans there also.. hehe..

the 900 room is has 2 single beds.. but they allow up to 4 persons with no add'l charge.. aircon na siya.. pro wlay tv.. whereas the 1200 cottage accommodates 4-8 persons.. c",)

i'll try posting the pix soon.. gotta upload it pa.. c",)

be sure to plan your trip coz you'll be havin lots of activities there.. i'm sure you'll never be bored..

meanwhile.. try to visit this site..

ei pipz.. think i can help out here.. i'm from bacolod.. but i often go to cebu as well.. be going back there in cebu by july eventually.. c",) i was there last month 4 a convention in cicc..

anyway, the schedule for the ceres bus that i usually take are.. 11:00pm.. 4:00am & 4:30am.. 9:00am.. 3:00pm.. i've taken all these trips & these are all aircon buses.. they also have non aircon at intervals.. but i'd rather recommend AC buses as the trip is long.. also i would suggest taking the bus via TOLEDO.. coz the trip would take 6hrs. to reach bacolod.. whereas the bus via TABUELAN would take 9hrs..

for me, the best bus to take is the 4:00/4:30 AM via TOLEDO/DON SALVADOR BENEDICTO.. coz of few passengers and you arrive in bacolod around noon.. c",)

last month when i went to cebu.. the bus fare was around 400 for the bus.. more or less.. then 195 for the ferry (roro).. so more or less you would spend around 600 for the the trip (one way)..

if you're on a tight budget.. there are also much cheaper ways to go to bacolod.. c",) you should just take smaller buses to the port.. take the fast ferries.. then just take another smaller bus (or even jeepneys) going to bacolod..

but for a hassle free trip.. again, i'd suggest taking an AC ceres bus.. that way, you'll be more comfortable and relaxed for your activities ahead in bacolod.. hehe..

    til nxt time..

ei chris_hut.. pcencya na pd dili ko ksabot sa imong gna sulti.. hehe.. i juz know a little bit bisaya cz i only stayed there for 6 months.. so i'm having a bit of trouble understanding some of ur questions..

anyway.. yes you can go trekking even without a tourguide.. but usually.. one or two kids (locals living there) would accompany u while climbing up to the falls.. wlai bayad na cla (tip lng).. it's just one of the resort's ways to protect the trail and the visitors as well.. pro murag guide mn cla.. hehe.. one of the reasons for this is bcoz visitors are only allowed to bathe sa 5th & 6th falls lng.. coz the 1st - 4th falls may be a bit dangerous coz of falling debris (from erosion)..

the entry to mt. canlaon is thru the 7th falls.. but i'm not really sure how far from the hotel.. i think they said it was 1km or more from the 6th falls.. murag 3 hrs pa.. until 6th falls lng ako coz kapoi na jd kaau.. hehe.. but i'm sure that if nature tripping is your thing.. you will have no problem climbing/trekking up to the 7th falls.. it took us 2 - 3 hrs. climbing from 1st - 6th falls..

one thing unsa jud dapat namo b4 mi anha sa resort... para pod d sayang bah hehe
sori i can't understand this part.. are you asking me what you're going to do at the resort? hehe.. sorry.. language barrier..

    - mabukal 6th falls..

you're right that bacolod has progressed a lot over the years.. last year we won the most business friendly city in the whole pinas.. hehe.. so i think we've come a long way.. c",)

i would suggest that you go south of negros coz that's where you'll find the best white sand beaches there.. specifically at sipalay city & the municipality of cauayan.. it's 3 to for hrs. away from bacolod.. but the scenery is well worth the travel.. somewhere between cauayan & sipalay.. there's a light house by the cliff where you can have a magnificent view of the ocean.. bsta believe me.. every year nga ad2 mi sa sipalay.. c",)

sorry i'm having a hard time loading the pix.. but i'll try to post it asap.. links nlng muna.. c",)

here's a link to some of the great resorts here in negros:
    resorts005

    * punta bulata white beach resort & spa - municipality of cauayan
Punta Bulata White Beach Resort - Negros Occidental, Philippines

    - one of the best resorts here in negros.. they have this annual summer beach bash with lots of celebreties & activities.. complete ammenities.. pro mdyo mahal cya.. but right now i think they have a non-peak promo of 20% discount.. but not really sure.. this was once featured at sports unlimited..

    * takatuka-lodge beach resort (sipalay city)
    Untitled Document

    - this is along the long beach of sipalay city.. very nice ang resort.. and it's not that expensive.. and it has a lot of neighboring string of resorts too.. so you can have your choice of accommodation.. they also have pump boats that will take you island hopping.. and if you do.. visit campomanes bay, one of the famous dive sites there in sipalay city..

murag tour guide nko.. hehe.. but i know what i'm talking about.. i've lived all 23 yrs. of my life here.. so south would be the best bet for the best white sand beaches..

    - this is @ campomanes bay, sipalay city.. took this pic myself.. c",)

    Default mambukal

    Hi!

Ask ko lang po kung paano pumunta sa Mambukal from bacolod City (exact place in the city where we can ride a jeepney and yung earliest travel schedule).

Is it possible na half-day tour lang sya.. I just want to see the place.. dip in the pool.. maybe boating, slide for life and canopy walk since di naman ako pwede mag climb..

How much nga po pala ang rate ng mga activities na gusto ko aside from the entrance of P30. Affordable lang ba food doon? (medyo budgeted kc)..

Thanks sa makukuha kong info at sana po tagalog..

by jeepney: ang sakayan ng jeepney from bacolod to mambukal ay nasa harapan ng Burgos Market.. walang exact time ang mga jeepney dun, dpende pg puno na ng pasahero.. but i think the earliest trip would be 5am..

possible na half day ang tour.. depends sa dami ng mga visitors.. but sayang coz di mo mgagawa lahat ng activities kng half day lng.. the fee are not that expensive..

dipping pool (hot spring): P50 /person - good for whole day na yan..
boating: P100 /30 mins. - more or less
slide for life: P100 /3 slides
canopy walk: P100 /person - but not so sure of this one

meron png butterfly garden dun at saka wall climbing..

there's a food court there so you have a lot to choose from.. very affordable.. less than P100 good for 1 person na..

    have fun! c",)

communte lng mu? i'm not really sure about the rates coz wla pko try from san carlos - murcia - bcd na commute lng.. but estimate, san carlos - murcia: P175+.. wen the bus drops you off at murcia.. you still have to take either tricycle of jeepneys going to mambukal.. P15-P20 / person.. then from murcia to bacolod.. i suggest you ride the jeep going to bacolod.. you will find the jeeps at the entrance of mambukal.. bacolod - sipalay: P200+ (ceres).. sipalay - dumaguete: P150+.. dumaguete - cebu: P500 or less (including roro na)..

more or less lng ni ha.. coz usually we take our own car pg mg road trip kmi.. hehe.. murag kapoi mna inyo oi.. dili na mu mg rest bcolod? from murcia maad2 na mu sipalay? via bcd lng? hehe..

hmm.. i would be going to cebu by d end of the month thou for my review.. so dili na pd ko pwede mg tour guide sa inyo.. haha.. but hope you guys have fun.. c",)
