hey guys! unsa nman tong IV training sa sotto??wa noh?
I know how to do venipuncture like IVs, and phleb, maintenance of all central lines (sub clavian, IJ, Portacaths), midlines and PICC lines but placing a PICC per se ky m not certified for that ky Vascular RNs ra ang allowed dri ana. they will do it with a portable monitor (looks like sa flouroscopy).
hehehe....

@ vienzel: yap,i'm in the vascular access service sa amo hospital. PICC certified & a member of the american vascular association. naa man pud mi adults usahay labi na cardio ilang cases since they were born or mga MRCP's. para nako the best job i've experienced so far kay di kaayo ko stressed out di pariha ka2ng ER pako nga magdagan2 tah usahay...hehehehe...vienz,pa train ug PICC's cool gyud kaayo.pwede raman dili mo under go flouro labi na kn visible or palpable ang major veins sa upper arms labi nah kn adult. most of the nurses are using modified seldinger techniques at the bedside sa adults but with kids since e sedate gyud sila ad2 sa IR namo buhaton and unless the kid has crappy veins then we go under flouro & sometyms just use ultrasounds. for IV's though, we use ultrasound for hard stick kids.

gamay na man lang kulang nimo @twalalyn pra mag CRNA oi! may pa mag CRNA ka nalang ky naa naman gyud ka ani and u have the skill na labi na ang pangamot. kulang nimo mag-assistant sa anesthesiologist nalang. m sure ang rate kay di mo ubos ug $180/hr sa CRNAs.
note: IR, guys...stands for Interventional Radiology
