- when as a kid you accidentally made the sign of the cross after the Philippine National Anthem.

- you sometimes (if not most of the time) refer to the Philippine Anthem as 'bayang magiliw' instead of Lupang Hinirang.

- when you have trouble writing the whole anthem in paper, singing under your breath to try to remember. lol.

- when you see houses with unbelievably many pairs of slippers outside the door, that house probably belongs to a true blue pinoy. neighbors are probably piled up in the living room facing the television. not to mention faces in the windows. hihi.

- you go to the beach because of two things: to eat and to bathe.

- when you bring the following things to the beach: kabo, galon (for floating), payong; then you're probably pinoy. i've seen one bring an umbrella with her while bathing in the sea. whoa!

- when you're afraid to get darker, then you are probably pinoy. some pinoys, particularly the ladies (i'm not saying everyone) are conscious of their complexions and would want to be whiter than is natural. blame it on the whitening products, from soap to lotions, sneaking their way into women's lives from the television set.
