As for train wrecks, Obama's saying that knowing when human life begins is "above my pay grade" is the biggest cop-out of the campaign. Being President should be above his pay grade as well. What a trapo!
Comparing rights to murder or theft is what is absurd. When your rights to judge for yourself what morality is to you crosses my rights to do the same ... that is wrong. Murder and theft both violates someone else's rights. Whose rights does abortion cross? The child's? The mother's? When society does not even have a consensus of when those rights should be given to a child, morality laws NEVER should be forced upon the people. Now you want Obama to say outright when human life begins? That would be overly presumtious for anyone. No President has EVER been so out of touch with the people that they would dare assume that they would have the wisdom to proclaim the beginning of human life. Ask McCain the same question, you are not going to get a better answer. I do not support abortion. I support the rights of people. You are in no place to tell me or anyone what I can or can do with my rights. Your opinion matters not when for every person who thinks like you there is another who disagrees. No laws should ever be enacted when there are so many people divided. The Republicans say they are against abortion, yet they do not do anything about it on the national level. It just goes to show that they might know a little bit about the constitution and the rights it grants the people. If this is your sole reason why Obama does not qualify to be President, you are severely making decisions on the wrong premise.

That bill provided limitations for Roe v. Wade. BTW, a law was already in place in Illinois that insured life saving treatment was given to infants. That being said, I really don't want to get into a played out partisan debate.

As for Obama's statement on conception, well what about it? I honestly believe that conception isn't as black and white as most people think. It was a moral question, in front of an Evangelical crowd who think that there cannot be a dissenting opinion, and to me, he came across as a little more mindful of his answer than McCain was. I agree with him, there are some things we're just not sure of.

In my opinion that's actually a good thing in the long run. But then, that's my opinion.

    Another personal opinion-- "pro-life" = "pro-death-to-the-mother"

If Palin sends in Tina Fey as proxy to the debate, I'll be tuning in for sure...until then, I'd rather watch Saturday Night Live.

Tina Fey makes a better Sarah Palin than Palin herself. LOL

Not really "die" but yes, I think some companies will feel some kind of impact. Offshore companies save millions in tax deferrals, but labor costs in countries like the Philippines are ridiculously cheap. High quality labor, I might add. So even if Obama takes away the tax breaks, in some way or another, offshore companies still save a substantial amount of money from non-tax things like cheap labor, closer proximity to raw materials, etc..
