Will Capitol?s suit ward off SRP investors? No, says VM | Sun.Star Network Online
"Other than violating the anti-graft act, Cebu City officials and Filinvest Land violated the Commonwealth Act in their joint venture agreement to develop part of the South Road Properties (SRP), Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia has said."

Look who's talking!
Mura man sad sila ug wala mag negosyo ug real estate with government lands.
Check Capitol?s motive for filing case over Filinvest deal: Labella | Sun.Star Network Online
"Labella, a former ombudsman Visayas director, said the office should also look into the motive of the governor in filing the complaint.
He said it is important to note that despite the publicity on both the FLI deal and the Balili lot purchase, the ombudsman took cognizance of the Capitol deal and not the joint venture agreement.
The ombudsman may investigate even without a complainant, if it sees that the acts of public offices “appear to be irregular, inefficient and immoral.”

PATAY!
Malilong: Full-blown war between Capitol, City | Sun.Star Network Online
"What is unique about a complaint under the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act is that the complainant doesn’t have to prove that the government official personally profited from the transaction that is claimed to be disadvantageous to the government. All that the law requires is that the contract is “grossly and manifestly disadvantageous,” regardless of whether the official profited or stood to profit by it."

With this being said by the lawyer-columnist, I really think that they should leave each other alone but Capitol was a "WELCHER" on the land swap deal where all this hullabaloo started in the first place and the SRP is too juicy for them (Garcias) not to have a part of it.

diba nga abugado mani sila?? ngita sila ug legal way nga ma collecta balik ang full amount
don't waste your hopes on our OMBUDSMAN. they are lame ducks when it comes to high profile cases. pero kung ordinaryo kawani sa gobyerno nga nangawat lang ug 2K tua epiktibo kaayu mo investigate and penalize
^^

dili sugot ang capitol ani kai dili ma haras para mo back out sa deal"The agreement also gave FLI not only immunity from suits but the right to suspend payments and all development activities in the event of a suit."
gi protectahan sa cebu city ang investors.. basin nakita nani sa cebu city gov nga sooner or later mo abot jud ani nga point
cge panaway pero gusto pud diay to maka hikap sa SRPThe Capitol applied to qualify to bid but was disqualified by the City’s Joint Venture Selection Committee because it is not a private entity and it failed to prove that it has the financial capability and technical expertise to undertake the project. No other developer challenged FLI’s bid.
