I'll answer your questions if i have time tomorrow. btw, we need fist to delve deeper on John chapter 10(As what you've said)  before proceeding to other verses in the scriptures. We need to start from the elementary one, ok?

The reason they wanted to stone Him is because stoning was the death penalty for BLASPHEMY. JESUS was claiming to be Yahweh/Jehovah-the only true God of the Jews. Of course, it wasn't blasphemy when Christ claimed to be who He truly was!

Note: We all know Jews are Unitarian monotheists, they only believed a one person God-YAHWEH-the God the FATHER as stated in their Handbook of Faith.

Here, clearly presented the belief of those Jews who tried to stone Jesus Christ:

Therefore, the claim of Jesus being the Jewish God-the Father (the I AM Exodus 3:14) is tantamount to claiming an identity with the Father. Indeed, the reactions of the Jews confirmed that Jesus and the Father are absolutely ONE.
