MANILA, Philippines -- The Department of Health has placed under preventive suspension two doctors and a nurse in connection with the rectal surgery scandal in Cebu, a regional official said.
Susan Madarieta, director of DoH Region 7 said Dr. Philips Arias, Dr. Max Montecillo, and Nurse Carmina Sapio would not be allowed to report to work pending results of the hearing to be conducted by the Center for Health and Development.
