with china and ph relations getting warm, this is a good opportunity for the war on drugs kay pwede na close coordination ang police nato ug sa police sa china. as duterte mentioned before, kasagaran sa mga drugas gikan sa china, now nga pwede na collaborate, pwede na pakgangon sa source mismo.

Pdut policy of favoring the China than the US is decade earlier than it should be. Chinas navy is at least 2 decades behind the US. The only states than can protect Philippine trade routes right now is US and its allies. Superpowers/Regional powers works like mafia on steroid, it is important align to the most capable of economic protection. If any conflict that will happen between China vs Us/allies anytime soon(although unlikely), businessmen will worry of Phil trade security.

Chinas economy began a transition from export oriented to consumer economy. This is most probably the reason why Pdut favors China heavily now. But still Pdut needs not to haste things out, China is a resource hungry country with its rising middle class and 1.3B people. Because of this China will be very determined to impose its own interest, alienating US is will do NO good if we want good leverage with our negotiations. If china feels we have no other better options, they will just treat us as a pushover.

    Spot on, bro.

Duterte: China supported the drug war; US, EU only criticized

MANILA, Philippines — China was the only country who openly supported the Philippine government's campaign against the illegal drug trade while the United States (US) and the European Union (EU) only criticized the drug war, President Rodrigo Duterte said.

"China is the only country to come out freely and a firm statement that they are supporting the fight against drugs in my country," Duterte said in an interview with Chinese state news agency Xinhua on Tuesday.

Duterte stressed that China never criticized his war against drugs while the US and the EU have called on him to stop the rising number of extrajudicial and vigilante killings of drug suspects in the country.

"The other countries, United States, EU, instead of helping us they know that we are short of money... all they had to do was to criticize. China never criticized," the chief executive said.
