Thats why if you read the OLD and New testament daghan ka makita dha nga mga practices nga gipang usab sa New kay dili na applicable sa mga new generations.
    But how about this:

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

    Matthew 5:17-18 (NIV)
That means iyaha gi-strengthen ang laws ni Moses (nga prophet), don't you agree?

And can you please post verses that clearly and explicitly showed how Jesus abolished those acts (sodomy, incest and adultery among others)?

Can you quote jesus on that? I think not, because the best you can quote is from the the letters of Paul. Paul is not jesus.

But on a more serious note, This is not a biblical issue.. this is a civil and legal issue where the rights of the minority are being suppressed. Allow me to remind you that we live in a democratic country not one run by theocracy.

If consent should be the only basis for legalizing marriage then:

A brother and sister could both be consenting parties in a contract of marriage.
So could a child and an adult.
Same goes for the mentally retarded.

But why are these unions unrecognized and even banned by law?

It's not all about consent. The state has an interest in preventing such unions.

Same goes for marriage between homos. I would definitely say that marriage between two mentally incapacitated people is no different from two homosexuals who wish to do the same. Not exactly your "apples and oranges" argument. More like different animals, same beast.
Did I mention Slippery Slope already? ohh yeah I did
Slippery slope - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

by your mindset, why not stop there at all.. why not go back to the traditional marriage of one man and many wives like the old biblical days? why not treat women as possessions to be owned by their husbands?

Slippery slope goes both ways my friend

You yourself is allowing the homosexual community to be treated less by assuming that the entire world treats you as such!

You've been allowed to do whatever it is you want to be doing. Dress like women, kiss each other in public, have a same *** relationship, have the same legal rights as everyone else, and the right to live a life! WHAT IS CLEAR HERE IS YOU INSIST ON HETEROSEXUAL PEOPLE TO ACCEPT THE UNACCEPTABLE BOTH BY RELIGION AND BY LAW.

Validate your point? With what? that simply because we are against it you should insist on same *** marriage? Oh wow! You are shrouded with flawed idealism!

When you say that homosexuals should not get married by definition you are treating them as second class citizens who are not worthy of the same rights as you do.

Yes, adept use of logical fallacies will indeed do that. I shudder to think what might become of me should that debate happen

Let me make it clear since you obviously had my intentions wrong, the core purpose of my continued response to this thread is not for the benefit of those whose minds are already closed that no amount of education can remedy it--but rather for those lurking in the shadows, just watching in the sidelines and weighing in on this topic in the privacy of their own homes.. it is for the younger generation who have yet to make up their minds with regard to this issue. This Thread serves as an avenue where they could see the issue from the vantage point of those who are Against and those who are For Same *** marriage

word for the night "like gay marriage, doesn't make it automatically wrong"
Can you state the reason why it is wrong then? and please be a little more detailed about it instead of just using the fallacy of Proof by assertion.

You do realize that what he is essentially saying is "What's popular is not always right, whats right is not always popular" and in this country where the notion of gay marriage is viewed by and large by the population as wrong doesn't necessarily merit it as such

PS. Wrong usage of Pink elephant in the room

He was not ignoring the issue, rather he was addressing it directly by saying that just because the general population does not agree with it doesn't make it wrong

Well that makes sense.. If you don't like gay marriage then don't get gay married. Simple right?

The rights of the minority is not subject to what you deem as "filthy, icky, yucky" or whatever adjectives you choose to use.

Agree that Jesus Upholds the Law of Moses.

Before I will Post some Verse, First Post some Verse from OLD Testament that sodomy, incest and adultery are LAW of Moses or the Prophets - is there any prophets that command its People to commit those things? Last time I checked from 10 Commandments Adultery is a Sin and I dont remember the 10 commandments allows Adultery and Incest.

    Adultery:
OLD - Exodus 20:14 "You shall not commit adultery."
NEW - Matthew 5:28 "But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. "

    Sodomy/Homosexual:
OLD - Leviticus 18:22 "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."
NEW - 1 Corinthians 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, "

    Incest:
OLD - Leviticus 18:7 "You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, which is the nakedness of your mother; she is your mother, you shall not uncover her nakedness. "
NEW - 1 Corinthians 5:1 "It is reported commonly [that there is] fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife."

I think you're a little bit confuse between the LAW and Practices you read in the Bible. The ACTS of the people your read in the BIBLE DOE NOT automatically mean its a LAW.
