Costanilla: Video-making workshop, anyone?

YOURS truly has tapped Manila-based, multi-awarded stage and film director, and educator Nick Lizaso to conduct a digital video production workshop in Cebu from Aug. 26-31. Direk Nick, as I call him, will lead a team of seasoned media production practitioners from Manila in doing the five-day video-making workshop. This activity is organized by the Asian Environmental Resource Center’s International Theater Institute-Unesco whose Cebu coordinator is this writer. My very good friend Dr. Mike Nuñez is president and dean of the center where, according to him, practice reshapes theory.

THE coming workshop aims to develop a cadre of young Cebuano/Visayan talents in the field of digital media production. It will help all of them address prevailing environmental issues. Our workshop will actually encompass all aspects of digital video production, scriptwriting, production design, videography and directing. We all know that there are a lot of talented Cebuanos here, so their participation or involvement is badly needed. And because we have limited seats, let me advise interested participants to call 255-7990, 253-7260 or 267-4402 right away.

hi, i was wondering if anyone out there is interested in film making or video editing? i am really interested in organizing a small group of independent film makers. dreaming out loud.

Well, a few colleagues of mine had joined this contest Guerilla Filmmaking a Minadanao Fimmaking Festival. We had an entry for a short film entitled MArsoKwatro - about the bombing in Davao International Airport. One of Cinemalaya's entry for short film entitled A Step for my Dream was done by a good friend of ours who's one of the crew of Marsokwatro. I hope you guys had been able to watch those films... try searching it in youtube. coz I don't know if it is allowed to post a link here? is it? hehehe.. neways, goodluck to all the filmmakers out there! someday we will be known for our great talents...

guys, apil ko ana inyong grupo bi. i've been part of an indie film outfit before, nabungkag lang tungod sa graduation.. anyways, i'm also a photographer, (just a hobbyist, though).. nakahimo na man sab mi'g multi-genre nga SF before.. paradox 13 ang title.. i'm from usjr, masscom btw..
and oh, hilig sab ko'g technical.. so for the technical part of it, pwde sab ko ana.. all around ko..

I'm attempting to get into the independent film niche.

I'm from a filipino from Florida but I'm studying film at the moment ant Bigfoot in Mactan.

I'm really interested in doing any projects, I use FinalCut Pro 6 and After Effects and have a few completed projects. I'm also good friends with a Nigerian 3D animator/Motion Graphics Artist.
