sakto ka bro....they still have this racial discrimination amongst Filipinos even though we have proven that we are capable and some times we do stand out from the different fields of work...my analogy is, y would they outsource their customer care / tech support department outside U.S., it's not ONLY they can minimize their expenses in human resources but Indians or Filipinos or any race outside US is much more capable handling complex customer relations situations that their countrymen....we may not sound completely american due to accent difference but the effort we do in providing resolution to their concern(s) is world class quality....

it's called irony... it's a spoof of another TV series *** and the City... Cory in real life as most people know has the image of being the saintly, pacifist one... the word sl*t is contradictory to her nature as we see her in real life...

we have already sent them the signal... that we took offense to their joke... ABC acknowledged that by issuing an apology...

asking for more than just apology is already crossing the line of absurdity and insanity... and that's how some of our fellow Filipinos and politicians are acting... to me that's more embarassing than the lame joke tried to imply

If you’re one of those who may have stopped at reading the statement by Susan in which she demands to see her gynecologist’s diploma because she’s not satisfied with the diagnosis and already made up their mind that the TV show has just insulted Filipino health care professionals and Filipinos in general, let me ask you for some of your time before you sign-up for that petition or go screaming “Boycott Desperate Housewives! Racist Americans!” or something to that effect. I will not try to convince you not to feel insulted, as you are feeling now, because it would be futile to tell one person not to feel something that he’s genuinely feeling. Rather, I’m wishing that you’d listen to what I say, no matter how different it is from your perspective. And still hoping perhaps, from the additional information, you might just change your mind.

If you’re one of those who think that some people have made unnecessary fuss about this issue, then I also wish that you’d continue to read on.

To continue the story, the gynecologist is a Harvard graduate and diagnosed her as being in menopause. However, later, we’d find out that Susan’s actually pregnant, hence the diagnosis was wrong. Moral of the story? Even a Harvard medical school graduate can make a wrong diagnosis. No matter how much we are under the impression that graduating from such schools automatically makes one a good doctor. No conclusion was formed in the episode that Philippine educated doctors is equal incompetency.

yah I admit that we're doing this to others like how indian sound when they talk in english...but the context of the scene is not humurous...it's uncalled for! even the aforementioned post of ygen; it still doesn't explain the nature of how it was delivered....maybe they could have picked another scene in joking at us but not in that scene....
