I have eaten live octopus in Korea on several occasions. Check out the following video to see exactly what that looks like. One would usually dip the still moving octopus tentacles into a spicy red pepper paste called gochu-jang, just as the person in the video is doing. The octopus is a little tough with intermittent crunches as you bite into the tentacles. I enjoyed it and the korean people love to see a foreigner indulging in their "unique" food and culture (as most natives do when you visit foreign countries).
