@Ian: I already have the 50mm f/1.8 man gud. I think redundant na f I go for the 17-50mm. Plus, alot of people gave me great comments on the 17-85mm lens. And I've read a lot of great reviews bout it sad...

One of my reasons of getting (planning to get one) an EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS, is to rid of my 50mm 1.8. Opposite ta, hehe... i'm trying to be versatile when shooting especially in weddings. You don't have all the time changing lenses.

the Tammy 17-50mm 2.8 is pretty good... dili lang Canon... hahaha!

OT: White, black and red ring on the neck. Under it, a Bucket O' Milk.

its not redundant...17-50 is zoom...50 1.8 is prime...they are very different lenses...different uses...different gyud kaayo
canon nalang ka like the 17-55 2.8 or 24-70 2.8 nalang gyud...i know u can affort it

17-85?? heh...where? since that lens was released couple years ago ive known a lot of people getting it (even myself got it twice) none of those people i know kept their 17-85...not a single one! they all got rid of it including me...i got my 1st 17-85 when it was 1st released...sold it coz batian gyud ko cosidering im comparing it with my 24-70 2.8. after talks from others i considered it again (coz im a fan of IS) and a good deal came to me so i took it and i still ended up getting rid of it.

even edwin got one and at 1st praised it and all but how did the story end, he still got rid of it...
sure, the range it excellent but bottomline its not a keeper...optically you can do a lot better...

    bitaw its up to you...
