Hate to play devils advocate but looking into the crystal ball , give it a couple of months till everyones tired of it , I hope it stands ... but surely the sugar is welcome in Cebu.

KRISPY KREME CEBU BRANCH
Monday, May 16, 2011
(UPDATED 5:32 PM) KRISPY Kreme will open its first Cebu City branch by September this year, the company that holds the Philippine franchise of the North Carolina-headquartered doughnut firm told Sun.Star.
It will be located on the first level of Ayala Center Cebu, Mark Jeun Gamboa, Krispy Kreme Philippines' marketing manager, told Sun.Star in a text message.
The first of three planned Krispy Kreme stores in Cebu will seat anywhere from 80 to 200 customers, Robert Simborio, Ad Circles Inc. (ACI) assistant marketing manager said in an email message to Sun.Star.
The branch is expected to sell "around 200 doughnuts per day and roughly around 300 cups of coffee daily," Simborio added in the same email message.
ACI is subsumed under the Max's Group of Companies that manages the chicken restaurant chain of the same name.
Meanwhile, Krispy Kreme in the Philippines is run by The Real American Doughnut Co. Inc. (Tradci), which is owned by partners and directors of the Max's Group.
Krispy Kreme in Cebu "will be offering the same menu we offer in Manila and will introduce and feature the same varieties, bestsellers and signature products," Simborio said.
Its first Cebu branch will also feature a "Hotlight," a neon sign that, when turned on, will offer customers complimentary original glazed doughnuts.
At the same time, Tradci intends "to build the brand on a national scale while still maintaining relevance to the Cebuanos."
"We, of course, want the brand to touch the hearts of the Cebuanos in the same way that it does all over the world, with the intent of making it sustainable," Simborio said.
Pre-planning for the first Cebu branch began as early as 2010 and potential sites were considered early this year because the company wanted to ensure that its Cebu branch "was going to open in a very good location and hire the right people."
Tradci expects to recoup its investment in three to five years, Simborio said.
Krispy Kreme stores are at 20 as of last year. An additional 15 is expected to be opened within the next two years. (Sunnex)
