S & R Pizza you better try it!

A friend of mine disliked S&R's pizza, called it "too thick, too rich and too salty". He stated that S&R is a loser compared to his favorite - Alberto's Pizza.

I also encountered some senior citizens in the neighborhood. They think that S&R is a major threat to Cebuano retailing enterprise and that the P700 membership is an "exorbitant waste". They prefer doing their groceries and hunt for imported goods at Gaisano or at Colonade.

They think S&R is "anti-Cebuano" and that its business license should be revoked to protect Cebu's retailers.

first of all comparing s&r pizza to albertos is like comparing apples to mansanitas.

i dont think s&r would be much of a threat because it caters to a different demographic "just spit ballin here" 700 pesos for a membership fee just to buy a set of towels and a slice of pizza is not much of a threat hehehe. as for the products they sell i think 40% of that can only be found on there store.

as for revoking there license nah... that's what they say when the large malls and "makro" started operating here in cebu. it's mostly the fear of the unknown...

question: would i renew the hefty membership cost? if not for the pizza i would probably not.

my 1st post of this is that dili kaayu ko lamian... pero it just found out nga kadtong 1st namong kaon og pizza is kulang lang jud og hot sauce... mao nang naka ingon ko dili kaayu ko lamian...

basta sakto lang ang pagbutang og hot sauce sa ilang pizza, lami jud ilang pizza... i would say lami jud ang pizza sa S&R if naa lang hot sauce...

There will always be people who are insecure about the competition that comes with globalization. Some of them hear news about a foreign (or a Pinoy enterprise from another part of the country) joint opening shop here in Cebu, they feel threatened by it. Not only that, they do their efforts to "save" the local business joints that they think will get harmed.

As for S&R pizza, I must say that it is a GREAT addition to the many pizza offers here in Cebu. There are pizzas that are cheap, and there are pizzas that are pricey. As long as there is no overload or over-saturation, more pizza choices are welcome in the local market.

S & R Pizza was surprisingly good for me. It had so much meat on it I felt like I was at a Gay Rave.

waaa gi compare to albert. nag katawa raman ko ani oi. sulayi ra gud og lili ang lutoanan sa alberto og unsa ka hugaw, then try to think of it again. para nako mas arang-arangan pa ko sa caldas pizza.

wala pa ko ka tilaw ani pero i dont think this will click here with the mebership thing..... anyway we'll just see.

i'm a pizza lover and sometimes i even cook my own dough.
i'd love to try this someday.

Lined up at S&R's NY Style Pizza counter yesterday...................and I almost starved to death waiting for our turn to be served... Tsk tsk tsk.. Other customers even waited for almost 30 minutes and complained why it took them so long to prepare their order..
