Even the Bible itself was compiled more than 1500 years ago to become what it is right now -- a bible..

The point is, the Bible should not be taken literally. God has his own way of reaching out to each and every person. It would be dangerous to take it literally because there are so many conflicting views..

Consider this, in the old testament, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments. But in the New Testament, there was only one ultimate commandment and that is "To love your neighbor as you love yourself..."

Does it mean also that you have to throw bread if somebody throws you a stone? Then that would make Julies Bakeshop very happy..

Is it also a sin to pray SPONTANEOUSLY Because Jesus said (when asked by one of his disciples) that if you pray you should only say "Our father, who art in heaven....."

When the Roman Pope called for a council in Trent, a doctrine was formulated stating that the sacred images of Mary, Jesus and other saints should you have in your house, most especially in churches. Catholicism teacher during that time askes us to do so....... not knowing that...... praying the rosary is very much against the bible..... read this verse for instance.......
