i believe that Ferdinand Marcos did something good and did something bad too. let's not forget that the Philippines's glorious years include FM's first term as president. bright gyud to sya and our country bloomed under his command (first term), pero mao lagi na, power corrupts, so i pray nga the current Marcoses learned from the past, and the Filipino people sees the difference and not condemn too fast

i really agree bro. i even voted for Bong2x as senator. basing on bongbong's track record, he is really good. he actually has his own accomplishments to boast of. and i don't believe they children have to pay for the wrongs of their parents, or just like children have to gain merit from the glory of their parents *cough noy2x cough* the elder marocs was undoubtedly one or if not the most brilliant leader we've had. however, power feeds greed and corruption. if there is one thing i hope bongbong inherited from his father, that should be his brilliance. but this time, he better put it to GOOD use especially now that he's in the senate. i am hoping that now the marcoses are elected into public office, they'd redeem the marcos name in a good light.

there is a disparity between dwelling so much in the past and learning from it. we need to move on.

well i voted for bonbong marcos. I think he was an effective governor in ilocos. he had those wind farms installed. and he did it quietly. I read somewhere that Bongbong will help gwen start a wind farm in cebu also.

I lived the Martial Law thing.

But you are right. FMJ is different from FM. The times are also different. FM's tactics would not be applicable today. Especially with information suppression. Everyone has a cellphone now. The Internet. Around the 70s only a select few have a phone.

And yes. Noynoy can't even compare with Ninoy based on accomplishments.
