How about local tabloids here in Cebu? Can CAIB act on this ISSUE?
Try to look at SuperBalita and BANAT Kalingawan Section.

Na disband na lagi ang CAIB since December of last year under the discretion of former Mayor Tomas. Wait lang usa ta kay gipa-revive ni Mayor Rama ug naa na sya'y gi-designate nga modala sa CAIB nga si Dr. Lucille Mercado.
Let's give them a chance what the new CAIB can do but not until then, hope you understand. Let's be patient lang...
Maybe the CAIB will gain wider powers to raid businesses on anything "indecent" - maybe they'll raid video stores for selling pornographic or blasphemous movies (The Last Temptation of Christ comes to mind). Or maybe they'll raid stores selling video games they would find "too violent" or "immoral".
but isn't that what's CAIB doing then? doesn't mesh with their morality, then its indecent.
the jejemon statement was a joke. but it produced a reaction from you. i bet some who read my statement saw it also as a joke. this just illustrates that there are 2 sides in every issue. its illogical for you but a joke to me. that's the dilemma of CAIB! Where to draw the line.

CEBU CITY, MAY 18, 2006 (STAR) The Freeman - For attacking the divinity of Jesus Christ, the film "The Da Vinci Code" should not be shown in Philippine cinemas starting today, Cebu Anti Indecency Board chairman Rene Josef Bullecer wrote to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board lately.
Bullecer, in his letter to MTRCB chairman Maria Consoliza Laguardia, said the board should have taken a closer look at its guidelines before allowing the film's showing, even on a "For Adults Only" rating.
"I think we should do everything not to allow it and to oppose the showing of the movie. I am very much dismayed of the decision because this will create a negative impact to moviegoers of this predominantly Catholic country," Bullecer said in protest of MTRCB's decision.
Bullecer, in an interview yesterday, said the film, which he said carried a premise that Jesus Christ had a child with Mary Magdalene, is a blasphemy and attacks the divinity of Jesus Christ. The controversial Ron Howard adaptation of the best-selling novel of Dan Brown that similarly spawned controversy worldwide is starred by Academy award winner Tom Hanks and is due to open in cinemas, including here in Cebu, today.
The Bullecer protestations might be rather late but the anti-indecency advocate made clear his opposition against MTRCB's decision and his consternation over the statement of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines respecting the decision of the film review board.
Bullecer said Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal also opposed the movie's showing but then the cardinal is still in Rome and could not release an official statement on the matter. The Cebu Archdiocese, however, will soon release a primer of the movie that will be distributed throughout its parishes, said Bullecer.

I would not be surprised to see the CAIB want and gain more power than before.
Another aspect of the church intruding into state business through influence.
I read the book. I watched the movie. But my belief in Jesus and Mother Mary didn't changed.
our country has one of the most beautiful laws in this planet. unluckily the executive branch doesn't have the power to execute! so the solution is to create stupid agencies at the expense of taxpayers money which happens to be coming from us! another agency another expense. we are making jobs without producing anything. imagine paying someone who in fact should be done by a constitutional agency not a fly by night bus tour group invented by a person who doesn't even know how and why this is happening. this problem is beyond porn. its a matter of rooting the cause and making long term plans to contour this country. it's is a noble deed but sometimes it can mostly cause more problems than solutions. i salute you guys for bringing this up. hats off to you sirs/mams!
the truth is out there!
