you guys are making a lot of fuss with regards to temperature. read:

    http://intel.wingateweb.com/taiwan08...2_Nov_1006.pdf

and this thread para maliwanagan mo sa temps:

The Truth about Temperatures and Voltages - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

andz is right about idle voltages in fact, the idle temp doesn't mean anything...the margin of error is way too wide (up to 30 degrees) but as the temp goes high, the accuracy also increases that by the time the processors hits tjmax 0, intel considers it 100% accurate. check the slides on the PDF as to why.

Wala gyuy kausaban ang temp. NAa ra gyud pirmi dapita sa 48-65 C range using Real Temp. Pero nahibong ko kysa E-LEET, 38-40C raman gyud temp sa CPU. Ang cores 1-4 ra muabot ug 50C.

Mas musamot pa tali ni saka ang temps rn ky niabot ganina ako Toxic 4890 which would yield more heat.

So far, OC nako nasa 3.2 pa using 9-9-9-24-74 1600 mem spec

Looks like im gonna skip buying this and I should retain my V8. It won't match with my casing's structure. My rear fan is only 80mm and the hole can't be modded to 120mm size.

Now if I could come up with a workaround. Does anyone know how heavy the radiator is in kilograms? Because if it aint much heavy, im going to put it at the top of the casing, it will work some sort of a exhaust.

Poldz i'm not sure if this post was directed at me, but let me say this. I am merely pointing out and showing results of my system OC'ed a certain amount - for natzky's reference. I know some of us here expect the H50 to perform good, but in reality, temp differences between this and a good air cooler will be marginal at best.

I understand that those temps are far from what intel spec their procies at, and i agree with what you and andz have said so far. The thing is, we want our PC's to run as cool as possible regardless of whether it is at idle or full load, oc'd or not.

Bottom line - if you oc your system and temps get out of hand, the worst that could happen is that the system will shut down. Common sense will tell you that you should back off with the OC a bit.

natzky - I would still like to see you do a comparison test of the H50 against a good heatsink (all variables being the same).

err, not for you bai but for everyone para mawala ang phobia and misconception when it comes to temps.

i see a lot of people who say keep it below 60 or keep it below 70 but do not provide a rationale on why --- heat-induced instability. of course, hardware damage will happen if the component is subjected to the same condition at a specific timeline but by leaving the rationale blank, people would assume that it might destroy their hardware in an instant.

edit: as far as your point on making a comparison between this and a high-end air cooler to see how it performs, i have nothing against it. just wanted to clarify some information with regards to temperature.
