i beg to disagree... if your'e an activist it doesn't mean your'e leftist... i can be an ultra right activistist or an anarcho activist or an environmental activist... activist is a general term for people who actively support a certain function...Originally Posted by gerard
but your'e right, left wing activist org is a breeding ground for potential party members or cadre... i know a few gifted persons who was drafted by the party. they have forsaken a bright future and now they're in the hills of bohol ranting anti-government propaganda and running away from the brutal military... too bad but well... it's their choice.

i dont clearly understand and cant figure out what really communism is.. i need to devour my time to understand it perhaps.
if it is associated with armed struggle we currently have by our brothers, then i think its not right. foreign invasion is over. martial law is over. the only war left is against poverty.. armed struggle will never be a solution.
bisan asa pa nga suok sa kalibutan naa jud na sila... its there choice...
NPA Recruitment – Endangering the Lives of Minors
What future lies ahead for NPA young recruits?
Following the recent pronouncement of CPP/NPA Spokesman Gregorio "Ka Roger" Rosal that communist terrorists vows to step-up its recruitment activities, there are more or less 70 recruits mostly minors who recently graduated from a six-week course in guerilla warfare including hand-to-hand combat trainings during the celebration of the NPA 35th founding anniversary.
The recruitment of minors is part of the communist plan to boost their armed ranks. They aim to recruit ‘thousands’ of men for the coming years. The NPA had likewise increased their treacherous attacks against government forces especially during the peak of the national and local elections.
The new recruits are assured of full-time jobs after graduation. They would be spearheading the next terror attack of the rebels in town halls, police stations and military and para-military detachments. They will collect extortion money from public and private telecommunication companies and business establishments. They will threaten small-time businessmen and even ordinary people. They are the rebel’s favorite targets in utilizing their evil plans against humanity and the young recruits are here now to become the NPA’s robots in the conduct of such barbaric acts.
According to reports in the local papers, these young combatants will also run ‘political education’ classes and NPA ideologies and Marxist-Leninist teachings in remote villages. Undoubtedly, these minors were deceived and lured by the sweettalks of the rebels. They were doctrinized by the evils of communism, which is the very core of the guerilla warfare course.
Majority of the graduates are young and from the local tribes and this is why they are easily enticed or could have been coerced by their recruiters. Being young, they are unaware of the real intentions of the communists and what the communist teaching is all about. It is our hope that they will soon realize that the life they chose is hell. It will be up to them to choose the right path once more.
There is no doubt that these young recruits were persuaded by the rebel’s old tactic of deception. A certain Ka Nicole (TNU), a newly recruited NPA member, says that her recruiters give them rice, cigarettes and a sense of justice and purpose. Obviously, she was sweettalked by the superficial promises of the NPA.
They are not yet fielded in combat and have not yet experienced the very shattering and traumatic moments in the battlefield. They are not only young in mind and in body but also too young to experience the extremely hard life in the underground movement.
Whatever, the future is not over for these young people. The hand of the government will always welcome them. Those who want to start life anew and will choose to live happy, productive and abundant lives can do so anytime. This is how democracy works.

Minors are easy to recruit espescially teenagers! teenagers are easy to recruit becuase teens often find their identities on violence like frats, gang and rebel groups.
gawas na lang ana, dunay kasiguruhan nga ang ilang organization mo live longer kay bata pa gud na cla. in kontrast kon pulos cla may edad hapit mo pirma ang wati na mahurot ra na cla.
mao jud kay dali man gud ma-uto ang mga minors! the minors dream whil the recruiter is talking.
do you believe everything the AFP says?
