The much awaited 2010 One Cebu Inter Auto Club Meet, at the CICC on August 13-14-15 2010.

2010 One Cebu Inter Auto Club Meet which will be in conjunction with the Cebu Province’s One Cebu Expo, as well as the Mandaue Business Month celebration. This event will be held at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) on August 13-15, 2010.

The Cebu Inter Car Club Meet will be participated in by 21 Car Clubs from around Cebu (with at least over 600 members from different car groups), as well as 14 individual brand new Car Dealerships. Participating Car Clubs will be showcasing their cars within their booths together with other automotive-related displays. We will also have various inter-club programs to build fellowship amongst club members, as well as activities crowd-drawing activities in conjunction with the ongoing One Cebu Expo at that time. Concessionaires, Event Sponsors, and various Auto-related companies who will participate will be provided with their very own booths at the event site.

Because of the success of our 2008 and 2009 events, the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce has made this one of its main events of the Mandaue Business Month. With this, we hope to include the participation of all the local car dealers and establish this event as the major Cebu auto-related event every year.

We are also a partner organization of PBSP through its “Balik-Baterya Program”, and are donating over 150 Car ULABS(Used Lead Acid Batteries) during the said event. Also, the car clubs individually conduct their own tree planting and civic-related activities such as feeding programs, and the like. Also, under our head organization, the Federation of Auto Clubs Cebu, we already have an annual tree planting event and plan to revisit the site to check on its sustainability. We have also recently conducted a feeding for under-privileged children at Labangon Elementary School this month.

There will be a motorcade of not less than 50 cars from the clubs that will be participating, which will be about 8 kilometers long around the Mandaue City District on August 13, 2010 to help promote the event. We are not only promoting the event as a car club meet, but also promoting all the brand new cars to be displayed by the local car dealers as well as the opportunity to test drive the cars around CICC and reclamation area.

What is EMMA?

History & preface
EMMA was founded to create a level playing field for sound quality competitions in Europe and to unify the different rulebooks that are used all over the continent. Car Audio Competition has its roots in the United States, where the IASCA was the first organisation that designed a competition manual for SQ Events.
EMMA International is the leading organisation for the EMMA national car audio associations all over the World and is responsible for the yearly organised international head judge training, the standardised rulebook and the competition CD´S. Its website gives access to important information about the sound quality competitions. The European Sound Pressure League (ESPL) and EMMA Racing are also part of the EMMA competition series.
In this actual version of the EMMA rulebook, all our experiences gathered over the last years from all National Organisations and the Euro Finals have been used to create a rulebook that is fairer, easier for the competitor to understand and follow these rules. It is also EMMA´s sincerest hope that these rules will be reviewed upon as an example of the organisations continuing efforts to promote the auto sound industry.
A new category, EMMA Entry, was created to allow interested people to participate in EMMA competitions without knowledge of the rules. In return they will receive a qualified feedback of the status of their mobile media system, with advice, tips and hints how to improve the quality to reach a higher level and be part of EMMA.
With EMMA Racing, a platform is created for tuned cars with mobile media systems to compete on a national and international level with common rules, to find the European Champion not only in sound but also on overall car performance.
EMMA mission statement
The mission of the European Mobile Media Association is to provide guidelines for an independent group of national car audio organisations all over the world. It sets rules and regulations by which the Sound Quality, ESPL and EMMA Racing competitions are held. EMMA’s goal is to encourage fair competitions on an equal level throughout all membership countries, and to promote the growth of these events. The intention is to have an international Car Audio and Multi Media Championship every year.
Furthermore EMMA encourages both competitors and installers to extend their knowledge about the equipment they are using. This will then result in a better quality standard for the installations and ensures the equipment will perform to its optimum. Ultimately this will result in a satisfied competitor and/or customer.
The competitor challenge
For sound quality, the challenge is to build an audio or multimedia system that will overcome the problems of vehicle acoustics, reproducing music without noise, distortion and to make the music sound like the “original” – also the installation quality will be evaluated.
For ESPL, the challenge is to reproduce high sound Pressure levels in nice designed cars with quality installations.
For EMMA Racing, the car is looked at as an entire project. Sound quality and high sound Pressure levels but also tuning, looks, and racing capabilities are challenged during an EMMA Racing Event.
The competitive spirit
EMMA was established to satisfy the need of competitors to find out “Who is on top in Europe and the world”. Today’s high performance car audio equipment is capable of delivering sound reproduction so accurately and loud, that it does not sound like reproduction at all. EMMA is concerned that some people may forget that the most important instruments in this listening experience, their ears, have limits. The last thing we want to see is for enthusiasts abusing their ears by listening at extreme volume levels that could render them incapable of hearing the music they love so much!

We Like Loud and Clear!

The EMMA Sound Quality Loud League is made for those kinds of competitors who are (also) interested in the maximum level of volume in their cars and also being able to play loud and clear outside the car – not forgetting about a safe installation and a neat looking appearance and also the tonality of the system when listening outside the car.
This category is created especially for “Party Cars” that are meant to play loud outside with a good sense of sound quality instead of just noise. This is to regulate and set a standard for these cars so that they will play loud music and not loud noise. ORIGINATED IN THE CITY CEBU, this new category will be added to the existing categories of EMMA Philippines and EMMA Thailand, being the first two countries to start this category. Hopefully, this category can be spread out to other countries as well and to Europe!
To guarantee similar conditions and fairness to all competitors, the position of the midrange and high drivers, the number of the midrange and high drivers and the amount of subwoofers will be regulated.
