its a sin. why would u lie? its because ur hiding something? why wouldn't you tell the truth? its better to take the consequence in telling the truth than taking the consequence telling a lie.

it really wont matter if white lies na or dili...kay if mo ingon ka na mamakak ka just to protect someone from being hurt..the moment you lied to someone...naka pasakit na nah siya kay dili jud malilong tanan...mabal-an jud nah..kay naa ra jud mga pang hitabo na maka lead niya na mahibaw-an jud imong mga gibakak or gitago niya...and grabe jud kaau na kasakit sa tawo nga imong gi ingon ana
aw depende rna sa imu pg pamakak.aw uu sala jud nang pg pamakak oi.depende rsd kun pasayloon ka sa ginoo.ahahha.lol![]()
"A conscience doesn't prevent sin. It only keeps you from enjoying it." LOL

white lies - dili sala. but..
you lied to deceive someone , sala na ni.

I like the way Thomas Aquinas explains the categories of lies:
1) The useful
Lie is necessary when one's/someone else's life is at risk such as lying one or another person's whereabouts to prevent criminals from killing or causing harm.
2) The humorous lies
or "jocose lies." examples of which are statements made in jest to elicit humor or entertainment.
3) The malicious
The motives of which is to exploit another for material gain (swindling); to escape punishment (perjury); to embarrass, humiliate, or to exact revenge to others (slander)
According to Aquinas, the useful and jocose lies are not per se lies as they are insufficient enough to cause material, emotional or physical injury to others.
